As a shadow priest I have to say.... Bwhahahahahahahahahahahaha
Also glyph of Shadow doesn't count. That is for people who don't want to be real shadow priests. Stay pure my brothers and sisters. >.>

Fluffy ass > any gear :P
Why you think the Net was born? Porn! Porn! Porn!
What really grinds my gear is that they actually remove all the transformation buffs on you when you shape shift. Why can't they just have them still be there but not be active when you are shape shifted and that way when you shift back to normal form you have the transformation. Dispelling it on shapeshifts is just a spit in the face.

Yup.
Really don't care about the looks, don't care for the incarnation guardian armor either. I'm just a huge bear fan, The like the sound of mangle (especially spamming during berserk or incarnation) and the animation of maul.
However I was really happy when they changed it so your skin color was diff, no longer had to look at a brown bear, yellow cat all the time.
It dates back to when caster druids where easy pickings for rogues, but a bear would eat them and crap them out. Many rogues posted complaining that they couldn't easily gank druids anymore (I guess because they where color blind and got confused by the difference between a rage bar and a mana bar). While blizzard did not acknowledge the complaints, it was shortly after that disguises no longer worked for us.

That was my general impression of what occurred, as well. Perhaps checking a resource bar to determine what you were up against fell under the "hardcore-only" methodology of telling what you're up against... even though there have been add-ons around since long before this debacle that would tell you the spec of what you're up against in PvP. Even before such add-ons, if you had any general knowledge of classes, you could tell immediately what they were based on the gear they were using and abilities used (consider monks and rogues having the same resource, yet it's ridiculously easy to tell the difference). Regardless, if the argument was for PvP purposes as many suspect, it's a very weak reason.
I'd be happy with the occasional spell effect making our forms all shiny and such. As much as I would've loved to have had the challenge mode shoulder effects flying around in Bear Form, I realize the limitations of the current transmogrification system and why it cannot be done at this time. That isn't to say Blizz won't allow such things to occur in the future, it's just likely very low on the priorities. Maybe Blizz will revist allowing costumes for our shapeshifted forms in the future.

“It's not an endlessly expanding list of rights — the 'right' to education, the 'right' to health care, the 'right' to food and housing. That's not freedom, that's dependency. Those aren't rights, those are the rations of slavery — hay and a barn for human cattle.”

I still think Druids could use an ability to copy the skins of existing creatures in the azeroth world.
I know Hunters are not going to like this , but how cool it would be to show off http://www.wowhead.com/npc=32517 <Loque'nahak> in cat form or spirit bear form
Would be nice if there were different glyphs that would let us change our forms to other skins in game.
What sucked bad was the fire kitty staff did nothing for bears.
Not to derail too hard, but I'd rather them work on moonkin form before they begin working on anything else new. It's a placeholder skin that's existed for 8+ years.
This argument for seeing each other has been around since vanilla, and I don't think we're going to get much more budge out of them. (We already have Glyph of Stars, different color animal hair/fur based on your actual hair/etc., the glyph that randomizes what you look like in form, Glyph of the Treant, etc).
I think it's obvious that Blizzard doesn't want us to just be in caster form all of the time. That's why we're druids.

as far as im concerned gear is for showing off at a hot spot in a major city
The original place holder Moonkin has been reworked but it does look pretty dated now. All the Druid forms are in dire need of reworking. It's sad how much better all the Tigers of Pandaria look than Cat form. Bear form was a disaster from the get go. Epic flight form is the only one still tolerable and even it's polygons are starting to show.
In vanilla most classes were restricted to one role which they didn't totally suck at, thus having a class which can do all of the above especially in a time where alts where hard to come by, was actually a benefit, unlike today. So sure if they were a bit behind, but didn't mean they were useless, they also had utility like combat ress, which could come in really handy, even though people where standing out of combat to ress dead people.
