From 7,6 to 6,8 in 90 days. 800k
More than 8500 subscription loss per day.

Games die, they peak, then die. It happens.
losing 500k subs during a 12 months of the same content is nothing lol
1.5 million pre-purchases of WoD tho.
A crossfitter, a vegan, an atheist, and a vanilla WoW player all walked into a bar. I know because they all told me within 3 minutes.
World of Warcraft: Dying on MMO Champion since 2004
Pre-Alpha WoW tester since 2002.
suprising? no and yes. i was sure it was down with more. sure you will say its stil 500k but if you think how much has changed between the last 2 shareholder releases ( this is sarcasm by the way as nothing changed) you would think more have stopped with there sub temporarilly or forever.
I was right on the money... I guess an 800k loss. I also guessed 1.3-2m preorders but thought it would be around 1.5m
Not really unexpected seen as we've kinda had SoO for nearly a year and still 2-4months till any new content... Only really themselves to blame for any losses :/ Sure it will pickup again in wod...
Not suprising. No new content for a year. I expect many of them will be back when 6.0 is released or at least when WOD comes.
Well, they could have tried another annual pass to stop massive sub loss, even so, 6.8 million is pretty good. No MMO out there right now, that i'm aware of, has close to that.
That's great news for them. People are resubbing to catch up for the expansion and that seems to be holding them over despite the admittedly embarrassing lack of new content since 11 months ago.
Blizzard has forgone the route of taking risks with their stories and has decided that
pandering to the rebellious pre-teen mindset is a safer bet. Thanks Metzen.
Expected amount.
Queue the music and see you at launch.
OH NOES! Only 100m/month from subscriptions! How will they ever survive?
The Sub quarter was expected, what wasnt expected that WoD is doing this great!
1.500.000 and the big advertisement of cinematics on tv and everything hasn't even started yet.
I see WoD having old sale numbers of near 3.000.000 on first day!
Maybe they should stop saddling their subscriber base with year-long droughts at the end of every expansion. I mean honestly, they should have learned this particular lesson all the way back in Wrath.
