Rather than a monitor issue it sounds more like a problem with your system. The graphics card could also be failing under strain (you put it in 2 years ago but that card is more than 2 years old), or one of the other old components. The monitor merely accepts the video signal from the computer so if it's fine until you start a game that means that the computer isn't sending the signal anymore, not that the monitor is having issues with it.

Take out the graphics card and plug the monitor into the motherboard ports. See if it does it again.

Why did you make another thread? Don't bump yourself, old one was just fine.
Other then that, the computer parts are old and that could be the issue itself. Try using a different PSU as it might be failing.

im sry about haveing 2 threads i forgot i still had the old one up when i made this one and i dont know what a psu is

the old thread had some ideas in there.....did you do any of those? PSU is power supply.

if you did all recommendations then you have hardware going bad and most would suspect the graphics card but we can't garantee that 100% for you. your rig is old enough to recomend just replacing it. you could maby get it running for just knock around internet browsing but for gaming looks like you might need new.

maby explain what you have done to try and find the issue?

    1) take your graphics card out and go back to onboard graphics? still do it?
    2) uninstall drivers re-install?
    3) test memory?
    4) isolate and test the power supply? humm i'm wondering if you replaced the graphics card and now have a power issue?
