Old enchants relevant again?

Hello, maybe it was something I missed in the notes or development posts but since the launch of patch 6.0 yesterday there has been a lot of people on my server (Thrall) claiming that enchants such as Mongoose are now better than Dancing Steel. Is this true? With the stat squish are old enchants and mats for them relevant again? Was this intended? (I'm an enchanter, hence my curiosity)

Currently, you get +6 all stats from the BC chest enchant; and +5 all stats from the MoP one. That's the first one I noticed. I guess there is plenty alike.
Do they still have competent personel working at Project Titan?

I've been selling a lot of mongoose, executioner, black magic, peerless stats, etc

Has the hotfix occurred yet? Had some guildies saying that the tooltips were still outdated but didn't have old mats to test myself.

I've been selling mongoose enchants. IIRC the peerless stats got nerfed, but mongoose was still 120agi +haste.

You can Mog Enchants when Garrisons arrive with WoD, thus might also be why people are buying them/ why they are in demand.

People are buying the old enchants because they weren't properly scaled to be weaker than MoP options, simple as that.

I noticed a few things like this, on use items, proc items and enchants that havent been scaled down.

keeping quiet on a few of them though because i don't want them nerfed just yet :P

When I saw title I thought about the Enchant transmog in WoD. Do we need stack up Mongoose or something for Transmogrifiers who like Lightning Effects on their weapons?

No, the enchanting building will allow you to craft Illusions that override the visual effect of other weapon enchants.
