    Any Warlock PvP guides?

Specifically looking for Affliction. What gear is BiS, macros, talents etc.

Any advice here would be awesome.

I'm actually brainstorming on this myself. I've been Destro for PvP ever since they took away SL/SL from us. I'm wondering if for this expansion it's time to investigate other avenues.

Warlocks are not viable for pvp anymore. Affliction doesn't do damage (and the dispell protection got nerfed hard), destro and demo can't cast. Not that it matters anyway, with chaos bolts doing 10-15% of your hp.

This is really not the case.

Affliction is still tremendous at putting out of bunch of pressure. You're not going to burst anybody down, but you'll do a lot of damage overall. Go watch Snutz if you want to see how to play Warlock in arenas (twitch.tv/snutzy). Affliction in arena looks very good at the moment (paired with the correct comp). You have tremendous AOE pressure as affliction with Empowered Haunt and many dots rolling. Add to that very good defensives (Unbound Will, Dark Regen, Sac Pact, etc). And excellent CC (Fear, AoE Fear, Silence, Devour Magic)... Mostly this is from an Arena perspective (and watching good players).

Destro, I agree, is pretty weak right now in PvP. If you can be left to your own devices and cast, you're not too bad, but if you're trained by a class with interrupts, you're done. You basically have two charges of congflag and that's it. The rest of the time, you just run around dying. They really broke PvP destro IMO with removal of fel flame and now RoF. You literally have nothing to do on the run now, except die. The only strong point to Destro is Shadowburn, but... even that isn't great.

Haven't played pvp Demo, but... other than ToC, there isn't much to do on the run, given that Shadowbolt takes a month to cast and Soul Fire is almost as long.

just my pvp advice. stat wise its the same for pve go for mastery and haste. i like pvping with the doomguard due to horrid shard regen. try to focus other casters if possible.

Fear duration got nerfed, your dots break it, and it dr's with a lot of other cc. Dots tick for like 1-3k, and there's almost no penalty for dispelling them (assuming you can even get ua out with 2 melee training you). And snutz still plays lock? All I see him playing is dk/rogue/warrior. I watched maldiva play lock, the damage was not there.

Versatility is pretty good for pvp

Locks aren't good in any pvp meta or comp that doesn't support Warlock's specific strength of being a powerful attrition class. Which means you can get to 2k but you'll have trouble clearing all the burst comps that linger in the 1500s-1700s.

Thanks guys. You confirm what I was seeing but refused to believe, we now simply suck in PvP.

I watched Snutz play lock in a Ret Pally/Shaman/Aff Lock 3s comp and they didn't lose a game, but... I mean, I'm not anywhere near his level, not even by a mile.

Point taken though, Locks really got hit hard this xpac.

Of the three specs, I'd say the only one that isn't totally terrible is Affliction, but as you say, it's not even that good.

Warlocks as a class aren't going to ever be terrible in pvp, but only Affliction is ever going to be good. Reason being that Affliction brings constant pressure from range, which synergizes with spam-happy CC; pressure isn't simply about damage, it's also about preventing that damage from being dealt with in a reasonable timeframe.

In a group situation we aren't that bad as other classes can prop up our weaknesses. But in a 1v1 situation you really can't ever win against any of the melee right now. Our ability to deal with that got gutted.

In a group situation you will get out damaged by dks, rets, ferals, warriors, boomkins....just about everyone. Your pet is useless, as soon as someone looks at it, it flops. Then without sl you're dead in the next stun.
