Do you predict WoD will be your last WoW expansion?

Despite my distaste for garrisons, I love the leveling experience and lore so far. So I expect I'll be here a while yet.

Polls on a fansite are never indicative of the wow playerbase. It's mainly for those that are deeply engaged in the content... (Don't know how that is possible.. but some are)

I predict the largest and fastest sub drop in WoW history. SImply because we were served an unfinished expansion with almost no content.

I don't know yet. It might or might not be my last expansion. But has nothing to do with the game or the expansion, which I like.

Wow, I tried to create to create the most unbiased poll possible and you're in here spouting vitriol, especially considering the last 2 options I offer in the poll. Explain to me how the last 2 options aren't positive and/or useless.

I'm pretty surprised by the op's explanation of why he dislikes WoD. As someone who has played Warcraft since the original Warcraft, I would say WoD has easily the best story of any WoW expansion bar Wrath, and definitely, no questions, the best characters since WC3. Seriously, you could criticise WoD for a lot of things, but "characters and story" isn't really one of them (relative to Blizzard stuff).

I had thought Cata was my last, tbh, didn't buy MoP and only played it during free "come and play MoP" stuff, but WoD seems to represent a better direction for WoW generally. Not really sure the raiding changes will work out as well as Blizzard think, though, and they better have at least two more tiers before the next expansion, or I will feel pretty ripped-off.

I didn't find this story at all engaging, I can find more in depth lore in the Warcraft 2 game manual than throughout most of WoD, Spires of Arrak excluded, which have a lot of original lore and interesting storytelling.

Otherwise for me, Nagrand felt like BC Nagrand 2.0, I was expecting a massive build up to a Grom Hellscream first battle, sort of like the Lich King storyline build up, instead it ended up being Garrosh...again. As if he could ever defeat Thrall. Plus it felt rushed.

Gorgorond was mostly a pointless zone for me, most of the quests there had almost nothing to do with Draenor until the very end when we suddenly found the plant people had a doomsday device, and for some reason the Cenarion Circle wasn't there to attempt to commune with them or teach us how to use the weapon. Instead, it was the DWARVES. What?

Talador was just kill this orc, kill that orc, expected Burning Legion glympse, but no real exploration of the lore of Shattrath or Aunchidoun, sort of like the arrival quest from Khadgar when you arrive in Shattrath in BC. Once again, felt rushed for me.

SMV was ok, but a lot of quest line bugs ruined the immersion for me. You'd go to some places before you'd finish a quest chain and NPCs would be saying things that they would normally say after you finished that quest chain. Nevertheless, I felt it was a good built up experience, but it felt flat afterwards.

Instead of building up Garrosh, they're building up Gul'Dan alone. So far it feels like Gul'Dan is the villain of the expansion, and I can't even understand why he overpowers Khadgar so badly, who has a ton more experience than Gul'Dan, AND has Atiesh (once again, unexplicably, no lore to explain it).

Yrel goes from newbie to super sayan in like no time at all, Maraad's death feels pointless and forced, when we pass through the portal at the start of the expansion he makes a bubble to protect the whole army from a siege weapon projectile, but now he can't defend both himself and Yrel and gives her Divine intervention, then she suddenly turns into Uther 2.0 over 9000.

As for the rest of the characters, they're THERE, but they're not really explored. Teron'Gor ascension as the first deathknight is wrongly portrayed, instead it's shown to us how he turns some random orc into the first Deathknight towards the end of Talador, Bladefist and Blackhand are just shouting around like idiots compared to what they're displayed as in the Lords of War Youtube videos. I could go on but it's pointless. I came here looking for lore and good character development, but I didn't find it.

There's nothing this expansion that ever remotely ressembles Arthas' build up in WOTLK, with COT Stratholme and the quests in ICC of him destroying his heart and all that. That should have been the treatment at least for Yrel, instead we don't know practically anything about her except that between SMV and Talador she used a character boost from lvl 10 to 9000.

I said no, but honestly it's impossible to say. Blizz may trip up in the next expac and ruin something that makes the game much less fun for me. WoD seems like a step in the right direction.

I see a lot of people who say "I'm leaving" and I never take them seriously, because I'm accustomed to seeing people return, although since mid-Cata I've seen a lot of people not return.

Depends where you look. Looking on MMO-Champion defeats any point there could have been to asking the question at all.

MoP made me cancel sub for 6 months. If any of the future patches be as bad as MoP, sure, then Ill stop. If not, Ill keep playing.
