How to make Mind Sear viable for AOE(only an idea)
What i am thinking is make Mind sear work sorta like Rogues Blade Flurry; let me explain.
"While active, your attacks also strike all additional nearby opponents for 30% of normal damage,
but your Energy regeneration is reduced by 20%. Lasts until cancelled." - Rogue Blade Flurry
Now with Shadow priest it should be something like this:
"While active, your Mind Blast, Shadow Word: Death & Mind Spike also strike all additional nearby opponents(based on your current target) for x% of normal damage,
Mind Spike no longer consumes Vampiric Touch and Shadow Word: Pain. Lasts until cancelled."
Possible additions: "but your Mana cost of the mentioned spells is increased by x%." AND/OR "while active you cooldown of Mind Blast and Shadow Word: Death is increased by x amount."
The idea is that you toggle mind sear on/off for when you need to aoe heavy 4+/5+ targets or something like that.
And while mind sear is active you can't use Mind Blast/Shadow Word: Death as often, so you only have Mind Sear on for aoe fights,
otherwise its gonna be a dps loss hopefully.
The increased mana part is not something im sure if it is necessary or not, but if it was then they way id imagine it would work would be like arcane mages charges.(From Arcane Blast(without the dmg increase)).
