Potheads still have the defence that alcohol does a lot more damage and is also legal. So I do hope that those anti-marihuana groups also are in favor of prohibition.
Also "non potheads", I should be reminded that a majority of the people that don't smoke MJ are also in favor of legalizing it.
"The number of children treated annually for accidental pot consumption in Colorado has reached double-digits..."
Wow, double-digits, in a state of millions. The horror.
Has Obama declared a crisis yet?
At least 14 Colorado children ages 3 to 7 were sent to hospitals in the first half of 2014 for accidentally ingesting marijuana products, compared with eight in 2013 and four between 2008 and 2011, SAM said of state data.
OMFG!!!!!! call the pope. We have a crisis here....... Hurry the world is going to end.
Marijuana prohibition is about to end, better get used to it. 10 kids got their hands on pot candy isn't a good enough reason to turn back now.
Don't blame the product for the stupidity of children, I do not blame booze everytime I see a chav being sick in the street.
Hum, nothing in that article supports that cannabis being illegal is a good thing. It just shows that people are irresponsible, not that the plant is suddenly dangerous. Add some new regulations, teach kids about cannabis like we do about alcohol and cigarettes, and there you go.
The fact that Marijuana or Cannabis has some sublime qualities, does not make potheads any less pathetic.
Amazing sig, done by mighty Lokann
I also wonder how those children were "treated." Were they rushed to the hospital because they were actually in any danger, or were they rushed there because their parents were (justifiably) freaked out? AFAIK, at least in adults, the amount of weed you'd have to ingest before it becomes truly dangerous would be like overdosing on water. While I could imagine a child would have a lower tolerance, I can't imagine it's so much lower that a single pot brownie, for example, could cause serious physical (non-psychological) harm.
Also, how many children were harmed annually due to the illegalization of marijuana? How many adults were incarcerated over it?
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

There...i fixed that for you.
You can't blame a 3 year old for eating something he isn't supposed to.....get this its the parents fault.
And that isn't something new to people that do drugs.....of course if you are doing drugs then you should definitely not be watching kids.
Is this a sarcastic post?
"We warned you, but you wouldn't listen!.....and now a few more kids than usual have been sent to the hospital for accidental ingestion"
The concern was more of a huge increase in heavy substance abuse.
Mother pus bucket!
Dumb kids trying to make butane hash oil. That's no ones fault but thier own. You have to know what you're doing to make that shit. Throwing a brick of weed in a pot of butane without the proper precautions is going to lead to trouble. Unless that article actually cites how many kids have died of eating candy then I might bother to take it seriously. Seriously it shoots itself in the foot at the end when it says "well one year is not enough to make any conclusions" what a bunch of sensationalized horse piss.

I'm sorry but this story is quite funny.
Firstly, the kids ingested the stuff. So you're saying we told "potheads" all along that ingesting weed would screw them up or that their children would be damaged if they ingested it? No I'm pretty sure we were warning them of the side effects of smoking it. When I read the sentence about kids ingesting the stuff I was sure it was going to read "kids ill from accidental weed inhalation" which is something that would, you know, actually have argumentative merit. But accidental ingestion? Stop letting your kids eat the crap then lol.
Secondly, double digits in a year? Wow.
Thirdly, this could be the same for any type of drug including prescription drugs. This is poor parenting to allow their kids to get a hold of the stuff far more than the ills of weed.
I'm not pro-weed but the people against it need a stronger case than this if they're going to be taken seriously lol.
