Just playing some 2s with a mate (Dk/mage) against a hunter and an undergeared windwalker monk, his touch of death his me for over 350k, is this right or...
touch of death is a guaranteed kill on player targets below at or below 10% health. can of course be negated by some abilities like bubble, cheat death etc.
if you were at 10% health or less his touch of death was guaranteed to kill you
Probably had fortifying brew and a stam trinket. How it works (in PvP) is that it can it only be used on a target who has less then 10% hp, but it hits for the casters total HP. It may seem a bit OP but at 10% hp that's usually around 31k hp, many different executes can hit that hard. But a 90% dmg reduction or an absorb wont save you. Just need to keep yourself dropping below 10%, especially against monk.
The touch of death hit you for 20k. The rest was overkill. Just think about it like once you're sub 10% you're dead. Touch of death could hit for 50k and still serve the same purpose in PvP.
It's actually weaker than a lot of other execute abilties.
