    Will this be worth watching?

Or will it kill the space opera genre on TV?

Not really going to know until it airs but I hear the source material is fantastic.

Why would it "kill" a genre? Because it's bad? When has a bad show "killed" a genre?

No clue if it will be worth watching. No it won't kill the space Opera.

I don't think anyone on this forum knows you well enough to tell you.

Some people would have argued that Enterprise or SGU killed space opera, but I don't buy into that. A single show isn't going to kill a genre, it does tend to get it shelved for a short time, but thats because the suits are unable to grasp what it is that the intended audience wants out of a show. You often get a good concept and then some network guy starts changing things because they think it plays out better.

Heard pretty good things about the pilot back at SDCC.

I haven't watched much on Syfy since Eureka was cancelled. Everything has seem kind of crappy to me, I wouldn't mind that changing.
