    Assassination vs Sublety in RBG/Arena

    Why are Assassination rogues preferred?

Is the control and mobility Sub can bring not as beneficial as the burst the Ass rogue can bring?

Going to disregard Outlaw for now due to my frustration with RtB.

The last honor talent for subtlety rogues is broken as fuck
I usually defend bases and I can't do shit if a sub rogue comes with someone else.

Well Rogues currently in PVP are just flat out dumb, they are so broken it isn't even funny. It is one of the worst balance mistakes I've seen for a long time. It feels so dumb playing with one and against them.

Honestly all 3 Rogue specs are okay in their own right. Assassin offers a ton of DPS, but lacks any real CC. Outlaw brings a ton of CC, and moderate damage. Sub brings good control, good damage, and good mobility. It really just depends on what comp you're running and what you want to do.

Sin overall is probably the strongest, it's easier to play than Sub and does a stupid amount of damage. But Sin is also incredibly frustrating because it's completely countered by Paladins, so expect to do 0 damage any time you fight one (and with Rets and HPals being so good that's almost always).

Overall either Sub or Sin are both fine right now, it just depends on what comp you want to play and what you're comfortable with. As for why most people prefer Sin though it's because it's easy, has really high spread pressure with bleeds and poisons on multiple people, and also has crazy burst on single target.

Wrong, partially. VS Ret and a healer you should respec either to Hemo or Elaborate Planning + Exsanguinate and you're suddenly A LOT better off than with Master Poisoner.

And yeah, Sin is boring as fuck. Literal glasscannon spec with crappy mobility, zero comeback mechanics and zero team utility.

Rogues seem strong right now, as a disc priest I rarely lose 2v2 games when I have a rogue. Most of my wins came playing with an outlaw rogue.

It's funny trying to watch a holy pally stay alive against a rogue, too much hard casting required.

And you're still doing next to no damage because you have no poisons up so you have no energy regen. Your bleeds do slightly more, but losing all your poison damage and regen doesn't come remotely close to making up for it. So no, not wrong at all. Against a Ret you're going to do basically no damage as a Sin compared to if you you're fighting any other class, your spec is irrelevant.
