    Gul'dan Lockout Question

    Hey all,

My guild will be selling AotCs only tonight (we typically sell full clears). If we have an alt leave on Ellisande, will that alt maintain a Gul'dan lockout or will we need to kill Ellisande each time.

Also, if it does save the lockout, does the alt need to be made leader and reset raid or just go in and everyone will go into that new lockout.

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry! I wasn't clear on that. I meant the alt leaves after Ellisande.

As silly as this sounds, only sell the runs for gold - not real life money.

Gul'dan will be dead for anyone having that specific Raid ID, regardless of their presence at the kill, so you'll have to start at Elisande next time.

If the alt leaves after killing Elisande then you will be able to take that ID over and over to kill Gul'dan as long as that alt doesnt kill Gul'dan with his ID. We did this multiple times in EN. But it just works for heroic and normal.

So alt invites ppl, they enter NH then the alt leaves the raid you kill Guldan and the alt invites you again.

OP asked about mythic difficulty though, so no, it won't work in this case.

AotC stands for Ahead of the Curve. WHich is killing Gul'dan on HEROIC before the next tier. Mythic Gul'dan gives Cutting edge. OP specifically asked for curve not edge. Learn to read.

Old lockouts worked you are thinking now the bosses respawn when you all leave .

Aka 10 people kill eli 1 person leaves 9 finish guldan the 1 person walks in all bosses are up.

Legacy raids an alt could hold a boss placement

No, pyrogreg, they don't. If you have a reset instance, if I lead the group and enter first, the bosses I've already killed that week will not spawn.

The difference you're thinking of is that if someone who hasn't killed anything starts a raid, all the bosses will be there, and people who have killed bosses can still enter and kill them again (though be loot locked, apart from coining).

Normal and Heroic (and LFR for that matter) give loot lockouts. If you leave with 9 dead and Gul'dan up, your individual loot lockout will reflect this. If you are leader, you zone in and it's only Gul'dan up. If you zone in with someone else as lead, it will reflect whatever bosses THEY have killed. Been this way for a while now.

Mythic is the only exception, Mythic is a Static lockout, in which whatever you kill is what you have for the entire 20 people, if you leave and come back to bosses downed that you weren't a part of, you'll zone in with a warning that you'll be saved to them.

But since this question is about Heroic, the answer is yes, if your alt leaves, they can come back with their loot lockout and skip straight to Gul'dan, provided they killed Elisande.

Yes, if the alt leave the raid and then reinv ppl after they killed Gul'dan and is the first to enter raid you will be able to go right to Gul'dan without killing Elis. Only works on hc/norm and remember to reset before you enter.
