Check logs on mythic raids... VDH isnt highest. The only thing they can do is be most offensive tank if they gear for it at the price of survivability.

SO yes, in heroic raids, VDH is a monster in dam, but once they need proper survivability damage goes down QUICKLY. Same for high tyrannical.

    Thread predictions are ehhhhhhhhhhh

There are a variety of tanks who have done keys in the 20-23 range with only dks doing a 24. Not that huge a gap.

Arms/Sub/Affliction/Boomy/MM are the strongest most flexible dps

BM and is only decent for BRES or if the hunt sucks at moving. Ele shaman almost non existant.

They should let all Healers have a talent or playstyle where they can do decent dps as a trade off for not healing as well or efficiently.

It was obvious for anyone pushing high keys that Ele shaman would never be a top pick... In high fortified bosses are still a problem (when i watched Fragnance stream, a lot of their runs where failed on a boss). The damage loss on ST is just not worth it when a warrior can do the same damage on packs and way more on bosses.

Yup....Was thinking along similar lines. Also, the three classes that can lust are all strong in M+, there is no reason not to bring a Shaman/Hunter/Mage

Ele is very strong in M+ and has decent representation. Not sure where you're getting that from.

They've been one of the better M+ specs since launch.

Very strong in terms of what, dps? dps is a non-issue. The final cut is made by utility, survivability and the effectiveness of each class with different m+ affixes. Nearly all abilites which are doing over 1 mil base damage on M+0 are one shotting ele shamans with 4.5 mil hp and prydaz on +20 even without tyrannical.

People in this thread are talking about pushing very high keys to compete in the M+ tournament. At the moment it looks like in the 32 teams to qualify for the next round, only one is using a DPS Shaman. Not exactly "decent representation".

I'm hoping this competition sees actual warrior nerfs, because they're not just a little bit overpowered. They don't have a huge amount of utility and yet they're in nearly every team, seeing the amount of damage frag was doing post-nerfs was utterly stupid.

That and some utility changes to make other comps more generally viable would be nice. Unfortunately I think the actual tournament is going to be easy dungeons and high gear so the tuning issues in dungeons won't be apparent, but the comps will be.

In low m+ they seem impressive because they burst adds down so fast, but their ST damage is their downfall. You can't just carry an Aoe build Ele on a boss fight, even in fortified week. And if the Ele build ST, then he still has mediocre ST damage and his Aoe damage is now only decent.

If the keys are low (compared to what they are doing right now) it will heavily favor warriors (you can do monster pulls and just burst them down so fast). Warriors only weaknesses is their survability which can be exposed in high Tyranical dungeons (or even fortified tbh, just look at the fragnance stream from last week) and the fact that they are melees.
