Defiled Augment rune

With the current lul in the raiding scene (ToS burning people out etc) would it be good to stockpile these and then put them on AH for when antorus releases? Reason i ask is because i am not good at "playing the AH" so to speak but i feel if i want to make a lot of gold i have to start somewhere...

When you get exalted with the army of the light, you get the permenant lightforged augment rune.(which doesnt diappear on use) So i doubt normal ones worth much then.And the 40k cost will probaby reimburse itself for many raiders.

I haven't tried it yet, but I've seen I. Around trad Ethan they stack? Idk, I haven't bought one yet so I cannot confirm. I imagine they will still be worth using for a lot of people.

The Lightforged one is not account wide, so even if players get it for their main (I did, yesterday), they'll still need defiled runes for their alts.

Between emissaries and rep tokens, it shouldn't take long. I mean I got Argussian Reach exalted primarily be mailing all the WQ rep tokens from my 12 characters to my main (6k rep each time that reward appears), it will not be that hard to get multiple characters to exalted for people with alts and every character that reaches exalted can send tokens from missions to the next one in line.

Today was just insane. There were 3 WQs up that awarded 2 Argussian Reach tokens each. Was able to send 48 of them to my main for an extra 12k rep. Once at exalted that's an instant paragon cache. Such a shame that I've been slacking with unlocking everything on my alts, I would have been exalted already.

It's exactly the same consumable, just permanent on 1 minute cooldown.

Works just fine with the Fel Focuser Elixir or a flask etc.

Sell them as fast as you can before most of the raiders get exalted with Army of the Light.

Start selling out before too many are exalted, to be honest.

Well someone who thinks augmented runes are mandatory for alt runs also spends easily enough time with those chars to get the permanent rune.
Actually if you only do the Army of the Light emissary it takes about 4 months to reach exalted there, minus the tokens you can get from the missions and WQs and the tokens you can get from already exalted alts.
So for sure the gold value of the runes will plummet over time.

And there's a good chance it might stop working at level 119.

Fel focuser( http://www.wowhead.com/item=147707/r...ed-fel-focuser ) on alts gives far more stats for 7500 nethershards, and should be the go-to buff item if you do daily activities. Revered Legionfall is very easy if going for class mount.

Since it counts as elixirs, fel focuser won't get the level restriction, won't stack with flasks obviously in raids.

I see people still using the whispers of insanity buff item too from WoD.

Yes I do know the augment rune still stacks on top of it.

Anyway, the permanent thing is still awesome for people who got the rep/gold.

I am exalted with argussian reach on 3 alts already, but Army of the Light token WQ pop very, very rarely, I think I've seen three of those WQ since release.

You can stockpile but don't do it with defiled augment runes since all raiders are eventually not gonna need to buy them. Other options can be food, potions, gems or enchants ^^

Of course they will still always sell, not everyone wants to shell out 40k price tag upfront for the permanent one, especially if they are alts or cheapskates :P

Still takes a while to get the value out of the permanent one if the price keeps dropping.

Even if they drop to like 100g, you'd need to use 400 of them to get the price tag out of the permanent one.

Doubt I'd use 400 augment runes before the expansion is over. We don't start using them until a kill is within sight, and after progression I only use them when/if I'm going for rankings, so the 40000g price tag seems to be excessive in my opinion.

Yeah but the permanent one can be used ALL the time without any drawbacks. Questing, soloing, etc. Why restrict yourself to just 'rune'ing for raids? Killing stuff faster is killing stuff faster, end of.

IDK I will be buying the permanent rune with every alt which will do at least one mage tower challenge, and getting this rep is not that hard - Army of Light quests are everywhere, and with every character at exalted, it becomes easer to push the next, because you not only can mail rep tokens from WQs, also the ones from OH missions.
