Would you ever agree to be a SPY?

    Consider the following carefully.

    Would you be a spy?

Basically you are a Belladonna, the sweet taste to Hemlock. Your business are secrets, you're the monkey wrench in the competitions plans. You point in the direction of heaven but it's actually the road to hell.

    Pros

You are an untouchable Agent, you have resources at your disposal to deal with any situation. A phone call away.

Money will never be a thing you worry about, you are paid millions, more than that you have resources all around the world to hide and live like a King.

You, have and acquire skills that are extremely valuable.

    Cons

You have to do things you rather not do, betray people that love, trust and like you. You have to do things you rather not like sleep with someone for information, or even torture someone.

If you ever fail you will never be acknowledged, wherever you fall is where you will remain. Nobody will come to rescue you, and the killers and associates you have at your fingertips will now all gun for you. You are a ghost, you have no identity but whispers if you ever become known it's going to be infamous.

Oh Yeah, and should anybody know who you really are, they will hate you, unless they can use you.

So what would you do, would you ever be a spy, for a Government a lone soldier, or a Corporate Spy saboteur, and leaker of secrets, whisper inspiration to go the wrong direction?

Keep in mind if you take the job, it could include doing things you don't like, such as pretending to represent causes, only to turn them out, and smear them as well.

Apparently, I was born to SPY, because neither of these things seem like cons.

That is because you are a very evil evil man, you have no problem stealing candy from a baby, kicking puppies, and telling children there is no Santa!

Well Merry Christmas to you too. LOL

Technically Santa spies on everyone to see if they've been good or bad. He's the original Spy.

depends on who's paying. Gotta charge extra for high-risk work, and always get half up front in case of double cross at the end, and of course, keep meticulous records, in cypher, under lock and key.

You need to specify that you're talking about a Soviet spy or something. In that case, no.

You have a very wrong idea of what an actual spy is. I did spy work in the Navy, but nothing like the James Bond type of work.

Most spies don't put their real location in their profile infomation.

That being said, keep Portland weird.

No, of course not. Why would you ask if anyone here was a spy? Nobody here is a spy. Personally, I would never be a spy. If anybody here is a spy, they should turn themselves in.

I get anxious WAY too easy to be a spy, so, no.

I wouldn't mind the first one if I weren't in a relationship. And Spies wouldn't torture. They would report back and then the employer would send an interrogator.

Why would you be a spy for someone else? Be your own spy! Can't trust other spys, you know!

I didn’t specify on purpose. Because working as an agent on behalf of someone else for hire. The mark or targets can change. This is about you and what work you’d be ok with. It’s up to you to decide what circumstances it wouldn’t work. No judgments on my part or should be from any others.

    Just what would you decide.

Very good point honor amongst thieves?

I don’t know for me regardless to reason there’s a line person crosses there’s no going back. In the end how can you or murderers ever be honorable anyways.

Ok no judgement, but here is the thing. Governments, kings and countries change. You willing to take the job considering right or wrong in the moments in your view. You work for liars and more importantly murderers.

But if I was a spy in my country and I was ordered to kill someone or even sleep with them, I'm fairly certain that would be extremely illegal.

I did actually apply for a role in the intel community right after uni, among a bunch of other applications. I think I even got an interview, IIRC, but not an offer.

Legal only matters when you consider who makes the law.

You are too intelligent not to know this ends with you assigned the same fate you’re dispatched for eventually.

Next thing you're gonna tell me is that being in Archaeologist doesn't involve traveling the world with a whip and fedorah fighting Nazis.
