As someone else already pointed out, mages demolish rets, warlocks demolish rets and mutilate rogues got even more burst than a ret pala.

So they're going to nerf rets at level 70 while they're nothing more but *decent* at level 80 and yet let mutilate rogues completely destroy everyone?

    Great stuff.

I don't feel like OP at all, at level 80 that is which is everything that matters... right?
thats very true. i had a lot more trouble with rogues, which is nothing new. what is new is, that it really isnt hemo rogues anymore. muti can produce some insane burst, and we all know how their stuns/vanishes/cloaks/poisons work.

It wasn't that the Nerf was happening...It was the timing. Everyone here knows how long it can take Blizzard to get their head out of their asses about nerf changes. Especially since their pattern for "balancing" a class is to nerf it into unplayability and scale up from there. He seemed to be concerned that there wouldn't be enough time in the scaling up stage before Ret went live.

And yes...10 days is no where near enough to get a reasonable result from one of the Blizzard nerf them to the ground actions.

Which is the whole....entire....point....of his original post.

And no...I don't play Ret...I've never played Ret...I leveled 1-70 prot...mainly because of masochistic but also because I hate corpse runs.
    Yeah exactly.

Well anyway hopefully they do something logical and simple like making Seal of Command do physical damage or something along those lines. The vast majority of the complains are coming from high armor classes, so this seems like the best solution.

theyd better make all seals do physical because then i'd just switch to martyr or w/e.

Aye -it is not like there are no overpowered classes live. There are, there have been and there will always be.

And no, I do not think Retribution is overpowered anyway. Most classes and specs still have many ways to keep a distance from them, if you get in range of one and die, you have not played your assets properly.

You are too used to having a retribution paladin hitting on you with as much effect as with the paladin being 100 yards from you. Now there is a difference, learn to adapt.

I am personally getting sick and tired of this. I really really honestly WISH they would seperate PvP and PvE.
    Completely.

A whole new page for PvP specs that only work in PvP. Flag on, your PvP spec is active. Flag off, your PvE spec. Same for gear - soon as you're unflagged PvP your gear swaps to your PvE set and vice versa.
I'm getting sick and tired of being nerfed in PvE because of whines about PvP burst (historically... as in, ever since the game was launched).
I don't give bleeped bleeping bleep about PvP, I just don't want to end up a bench warmer on raids AGAIN because of OP PvP QQ'ing.

Seperate the two clearly incompatible game types and let us all get on with our lives!

Bah retribution already got many "nerfs" during the beta. Now is not OP it's ok, in live is broken since when they removed spell damage from retribution gear without giving a talent that gives spell damage on attack power % like they did with shamans. Basically they left the class broken for 8 months or more. In the current beta build the class is fine.

    Re: So much for pre-ordering.

    Here's a thought.

The majority of complaints come from disgruntled PVP fanatics.
If the game was solely PVE based there would be a smaller contingent of
    complainers. Isn't that interesting.

Why can't the subscribers of WOW enjoy the game for it is. A game.
So what if your class has a had a few changes that you don't agree with so
have the majority of the other classes. Its very tiring listening to ppl
complain about sloppy development, nerfs etc etc. If subscribers left
their opinions and let the developers do their thing, who knows what will happen.
Badgering and complaining only makes the developers upset and inturn might
    punish classes.

If you dont like the game and whats going to happen to it then unsubscribe and play
    something else.

    oh like a rogue?

    or a warrior?

    or a pom pyro mage?

    or or or

shush, the list goes on and on of which classes can destroy someone within a stun

anyclass can destroy one or the other within a stun, really, and so now because the paladin can do it, it is OP?

ha, i laugh at you sir.

    Re: So much for pre-ordering.

Well i have never posted here but i wanted to give my opinion on this. I am in the beta and i have been doing arena, bg and duels and looking at every class. I really dont think ret pally is op i have seen every single class kill them just needto know how to play if you get stuned use your brains and trinket out same goes for other classes. I do think frost mages are hitting way to hard so they need to be taken down a little specialy frost mage. Its insane when they put you in deep freez and have the water elemental out and the spell that makes 3 more, you get 4 shoted dosent matter who .... well a healer might survive. Also Dk wich i do play needs to be worked on because they hit too hard for all the survibability skills they have im unholy and i can have any class down 50% life before i start getting damage and just heal it back up. About stun and getting killed i think most class have something similar . frost mage deep freez (nova), locks fear, feral stun, hunters ice trap, pally stun, shammy frog thingy hehe, shadow priest stun, and so on... you just need to know how to play and some times have luck on your side i have seen alot of retry pallies die by every class i have to admit some have some dificulies like a shadow priest but then again a pally also has trouble killing other classes like dk mages ext. I do think holy pally need to be worked on its so boring using 3 skills when all the other healers have alot more to play with. i did some arena and pally lookes pretty balance in my opinion we went against some and some times we would win and sometimes loose. and sorry for my english is not that good hehe so if it dosent make any sence sorry

    Re: So much for pre-ordering.

I think Ghostcrawler said something along the lines:

"If you read every other forum, each class is saying they are the "most underpowered" class. So I guess we are doing something wrong that all classes are now underpowered. The real thing is, we understand we can't make everyone happy, but we try for the majority. In the end, we also realize that one day you will get bored and move on, we understand, but we will continue what we are doing to make the majority happy. We enjoyed your time with us, and hope you better luck on future endeavors if you decide you don't want to play anymore."

I dont know where the "exact" post is, and most of that was from my memory so I had to write it out, that is not verbatim. But it pretty much sums up everything she thinks about people when people say "I QUIT!!"
