When will you buy your epic flyer?

Yea so epic flyers can be purchased at level 70 as we know. But you can enter northrend at 68.

So there doesnt seem like much point in buying the epic flyer at 70 since it means a trip to outlands, and then you cant use it till level 77 in northrend anyway (i think its 77, correct me if im wrong).

So trivial poll simply to see whos doing what.

Getting money in BC is stupid easy.

For the past few months All i've done is my 10 isle dailies and selling gems from my raid instance badges.

In 2 months with normal spending and respec'ing 2-3 times a week I went from 7000g to about 25,000g.

Money is LOL with the isle dailies. Committing to doing just hose 10 every day you'll get rich quick.

I wouldnt say im famous, but progress raids definately do eat into your gold reserves yes.

I got my epic flyer on my priest the day that the Netherwing dailies went live (i didn't see much point in it until then)
I've also got enough for my deathknight's epic flyer, when he hits 77. Whether this gets spent on gearing my priest (tailoring and enchanting aren't cheap!) at lvl80 remains to be seen, but hopefully the gold and mats gained from leveling will cover this too.
So, it's the "rich bastard" option for me then.

I actually make money from raiding, approx 600g a week atm, so if your spending gold on raids your doing something wrong.

And if you are able to read properly, i explicitly said progress raids.

Exaclty, and im specifically talking about muru.

We killed him prenerfed (much much MUCH harder than he is now), and spent 9 weeks on him. 6 nights per week. 5hours per night.

It was costing me 300-400g per night.
And our plate wearers over 1k a night of wiping.

Thats roughly 6k per week our plate wearers were spending on muru when he first came out.

So yeah, the guy who said he only spends 100-200g a week raiding now, its because your doing noob raids, where everything in the game has been nerfed many many many times for people like yourself.

On beta I had 5000g at 69 from sending all my money to my bank except 2g for flight. I didn't upgrade my armor once. It took me Until 75 to get 950g for cold weather, and I had another 1000g at 80 that I spent on my Ebon Blade mount.

Yeah in Wrath its not gonna be all that hard to get money. By the time you are 77 you SHOULD have at least 1100g+ unless you like to spend it on useless stuff. So by the time your 80 and doing dailies again then youll have 5kg fast. So as soon as i get 5kg ima buy my epic flyer for my shammy alt(already ahve it for my main ;D)

I actually quit the game till about a few weeks ago. So, i didnt have the time to grind alot of money. And i will barely have over 2k gold when wrath hits which will be goin to my DK. But ill wait till 77 to get my flyers since its useless to get em b4.

I haven't yet gotten one, i was close to getting it but as joining a guild i worked on getting abit of armor enchanted, finishing of some rep and getting costy epic gems >.<

So i will hopefully have it before lvl 77 (if lucky before WOTLK hits)
