    Re: Paladin pve hit rating

My ret paladin is full 10-man epic and I can do 3k dps with food buff and elixir (depends on raid setup). I doubt you can do 4k steady dps on bosses that doesnt give critt buffs etc (Loatheb for example). Also on most bosses like Sapphiron, Grobbulus etc you have to run and stop dpsing (avoiding blizzards etc), so how do you still keep that up? You just stand still dpsing without moving or?...Post a picture of that dps or it didnt happen... (Oh, and what rotation do you use to get the dps you say you have?...)

In my gear I do 2.3k in Heroics depending on buffs ofc and up to around 3k in raids. My gear is ok but not amazing. Need more epic pieces and set bonus to up the stakes.

ACtually he's not. Ret paladins can break 4k dps. Just because you play with "some of the best skilled and geared players on the server" doesn't mean they can't be fail.

Ret paladins can break 4k dps. Hate to break the news to you Just because you can't, doesn't mean other people can't. 4 set bonus goes a long way in dps for a ret paladin, you see a nice jump in dps from that alone.

I'm in pretty shitty ret paladin gear and I'm in the 3.2k area just on Sartharion, 3.5k in 25man Naxx.
I'd link to my fail of an armory but I now play prot.

So do yourself a favor and actually know something about your class before making an account on here to flood it with YOUR bullshit. kthx.

I´m only #6 there but I´ve lost some dps time in the beginning to make sure the tanks are on the threat list. the 'actual dps' column is my output in the time I was actually doing something. this was our first 25man raid so we were all far from being decked out. my gear was 4/5 naxx10 T7 along with heroic epics/blues and a crappy claymore of ancient power at about 140 hit rating.

    Re: Paladin pve hit rating

Forgot to mention I did Nexus the other night and another ret pally in mostly 25man gear was doing over 3k (about 3.4k I think) easily. Bastard lol (WTB more time to raid).

    Re: Paladin pve hit rating

My gear is fail and I pulled 2.6k in Naxx 10 the other night. I've seen Paladins pull upwards of 5000 as well. I bow to them. :P

4k on Loatheb or Thaddius is weak. 6-8k is more appropriate.

Yeah i have to try really hard not to kill myself on thaddius.

5-7k dps is normal for Loatheb. 7-9k is normal for thaddius.

    Re: Paladin pve hit rating

for those who asked for my rotation.

judgement - CS - DS - conse - exo. repeat (if undead)

note: CS will get hurt by GCD by maybe 1 sec max (if spaming)

if u get a pushback or something, dont get to hasty in attacking at once. waiting 1-2 sec for rotation to refresh is much bether than screwing the whole thing up.

betwen judgement and CS u have cuple sec to put in divine plea or other abilities like salvatiob, avenging wrath or bubble a raid member if required.

    Re: Paladin pve hit rating

optimally, you shouldn´t be taking pauses while waiting for anything to refresh. not pressing any button = only white dps. don´t wait for anything to come off cooldown, if you´re fighting undead something will always be ready. if multiple abilities come off cooldown simultaneously, use the highest damage one first.
divine plea should be used whenever it´s up anyway unless you really don´t need the extra mana (thaddius etc.) or the fight is at a point where it will finish before you run oom.

    disagree.

waiting 1-2 sec is way bether than clicking wild on buttons. if u do that it might ocour many times gcd is in the way of abilities and u end up having several spells ready.

waiting 1-2 sec can make it up next time when u can use the strong ability right away instead of using it at cost of gcd stoping other abilities from being cast.

    Re: Paladin pve hit rating

i done 4k dps in 10 man naxx and i'm not too well geared atm and we are not a main guild in the server, but i been raiding as retry for a long time and i think that now is easier make 4k dps than find raid as retry in the BC

the hit for raid is the 9% but with all the debuff in the boss probably you dont need the cap, so sometimes i change some gear to more dmg instead hit cap

right im wondering how you people can say such stupid things...

im mostly epic geared and have rather low stats, about 3k ap unbuffed, (hitcapped), 30% crit and i deal 3.3k dps in 10mans.... how could he not deal 4k dps in 25mans with superior gear and buffs...

ps. only pulled 4k on malygos10 so far

http://retlol.mrgummage.com/index.php - All you need; if you need any answer you don't already know about your specc.
    gg to Hottage for that

    OT:
    - 25-man scaling: ret should easily manage to pull 4k+ dps on any boss
    - 10-man scaling: ret should easily manage to pull 2,5-3k+ dps on any boss

Always depending on gear - but if you can't manage to pull 3k+ dps in a 25-man setup you should consider rerolling or do moar theorycrafting.
