Poll: What will you do if the patch notes for 3.1 look something along the lines of this: Warlock- changed

Be advised that this is a public poll: other users can see the choice(s) you selected.

  1. #1

    What will you do?

Option #1: Scream in frustration and throw comp out window.

Option #2: Beat something disgustingly cute into an unrecognizable bloody pulp.

Option #3: Spend the next 10 years of your life doing all you can to find out the "real life" identity of that rogue that keeps ganking/stun locking you for 30 mins/0.5 shotting you; go to his house and keep bashing him over the head with a ridiculously over-sized club/weapon of some sort that is totally and completely ridiculously unrealistic and defies all manners of logic, good taste, and higher intelligence and merely serves to overcompensate for some real life short coming until he is incapable of coherent thought and has full body paralysis for the rest of his life. (EAT PERMA-STUN BEEYATCH!!!!)

Option #4: Reroll and spend 1 hour every time you log in wondering if you have enough soul shards left in your bag/bank or if you should go out and spend the next 2 hours farming 500 of them for that big raid tomorrow (Raid leader: Can you help us summon rest of raid Analbloodyfaceripper? AHH MAI SHARDZ!! STOP EATING MY SHARDZ YOO GUYZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aren't you a warrior Anal? */sob*- leave me alone !

Option #5: I don't know, what would you do?

Ok, ok. I get it. But seriously-

What are you going to do if the Warlock class doesn't receive "proper" fixes and buffs in the next big content patch?

Keep in mind that everything is based on an individual's perspective and that it is impossible to know anything for certain.

    Re: What will you do?

I'll still reply, in the spirit of vengeance, "QQ MORE", and then log on my mage alt(tBC old main), and kill some more warlocks.

Sorry for the warlock community, who love their class, but too many warlocks answered "QQ MORE" to mages, while playing with them with deathcoil, dots and fears.

    Now, suffer.

    Re: What will you do?

Honestly, I'm always top 3 dps in my guild as a lock in PVE

Yea shards are hands down the most bullsh*t thing in wow....

    But who cares about pvp??

Just roll a rogue, or a DK...you only have to level from 55 that way and are instant god mode : )

Well. I dont know about others, but i dont like fotm classes and i dont like op classes.
Thats why i will never reroll a dk or ret just to be dominant in pvp.

I want to dominate in pvp with skills, not by choosing a fotm class.

    And for those who will auto-reply "Warlocks were fotmclasses for x years and blablabla";
I choose warlock way before the sl/sl spec became the dominating spec in pvp. So save it

If 3.1 wont fix us ill just stick to left4dead untill diablo 3 and starcraft 2 comes out.

    Re: What will you do?

Locks are fantastic, stop your damn wining!! No class excels at everything.

Dks are versatile yes, but soo many are soo stupid they never reach the top charts anyway

Log onto my Pally and continue hunting the Locks that tormented me throughout BC... LOLZ

    Re: What will you do?

Oh Yay, another QQ thread, that's what we need.

Seriously, if you don't like the class anymore the reroll or find another game.

If you, like myself and many others, still enjoy the challenges and style of play for this great class, then enjoy it while it lasts.

    Re: What will you do?

the only reason i continued to read this thread is because it gave me the option to beat something disgustingly cute to a bloody pulp.

And yea.... qq.... (blizz please fix the immolate issue) that is all, since myself and the one remaining warlock in my pve raiding guild are still quietly topping the charts as haunt.
    Have a nice day

reroll ret to be dominant in pvp .... playing since year 1, its something i never imagined hearing. It still feels weird.

And the warlocks were INSANELY OP way before sl/sl even existed as a spec. For the first 2 years there was noone a great warlock couldnt kill beside undead rogues and the rare insanely geared pvp warrior. Warlocks were just ok in pve and GODS in pvp. Then TBC arrived and they become great in pve and great in pvp. Then WotLK came and they are great in pve and bad in pvp .... the pendulum is slowly coming back, and its about time.

Next target for Blizzard to destroy ... rogues plz

    Re: What will you do?

i will hold on to my precious warlock until the bitter end when i no longer recieve raid invites because the lock has become counter productive. and at that point i'm not likely to switch mains so it could be goodbye wow!!!

I choose option 6. Stop playing until the next expansion. ;D

    Re: What will you do?

I'll be happy that they didn't screw up a good thing and take comfort in the fact that I will remain the most effective dps in my raid.

    Re: What will you do?

I always do option two !!

I do nice damage at pve, even with my "not fully T7.5" gear. I run as affliction in raid, looking all the time at 6 timer bars, keeping them up and try to spam some SB out. With eradication i have 1.74 sec spelltime on SB so i can spam them nearly on the GCD ^^

In PvP, i switch to destruction, the ONLY way to stay up a little longer agains all those ARCANE INSTANT PEW PEW MAGES, pray for getting backlash procced while a melee beats the shit out of you (yea 7k noncrits autohits FTW). Shadowfury stun is a little goodie too, but way to short but blizzard knows. They dont want Locks to be able to get away from melees.

That demonic circle is just a joke.

Ok, seeing a retardin or stunrougeboi next to you means dying without being able to do anything cause of stun but next time i maybe catch him up trying to kill someone else while i stand on max range to burn him to ash.

BTW: Please fix Chaos Bolt to be able to PUNCH right throught that lame bubble. I would like to see those retardins fighting me then doing bubble at 30% HP, trying to heal but eating a Chaos Bolt 12k crit right in the face. MUAHAHAHAAAA

Wow, you must have forgot the entire year where locks were free kills because they lacked any escape mechanism or staying power.

    Real Warlock timeline:
Year 1 - Locks are free HKs,
Year 2 - Locks get deathcoil, better scaling. Do alright
Year 3 - Warlocks survive by drain tanking players too dumb to interrupt drain life, called OP, nerfed.
Year 4 - Warlocks again are too fragile, but the massive nerfs in survivability from year 3 prevent them from being viable.

    Re: What will you do?

PVP on my rogue (yeah I feel dirty doing it but I don't want to break my keyboard while pvp'ing)

Raid on my lock once new content opens and there is something worth going after.

Sneak my rogue into 10 mans when my lock isn't dragging someone through or gearing a new pledge/app.

Giving up on lock pvp...we get situational buffs that are tradeoffs. 10% armor for 20% spellpower....not a balanced trade. Until the dev team changes things that will make a real difference its just futile. Over 900 resil, soul link, etc....doesn't let me live through a melee's cooldowns w/o a pocket healer. The biggest problem w' lock pvp is that a lock's already non existent burst and low overall dmg in pvp is cut by about 3/4 when focused by anyone. The timeline you have to survive to kill someone when focused is so long as to be impossible. When locks have powerful instants and can fight back when focused things will improve. Until then its really not happening. We need a anti focus for ourselves (banish, physical reflection shield, etc) on a 1 to 2 min cooldown. Deathcoil needs to pierce and be about 30 seconds to 1 min cooldown. Need a disarm. Need a real snare. Deadly brew our curse mechanics. It may sound OP but it would allow us to do things we can't now and that is what is needed. The problem is failed mechanics not that the numbers on our working mechanics are off.
