Warlock/Disc 2v2 - How to kill a healer?

Ahoy-hoy!

There be dragons. And a Affliction Warlock. And a Disc Priest.

They just can't seem to down a healer regularly in 2v2.

I'm the disc priest. My buddy plays his warlock. If I have the time to manaburn it's ok against a healer+dps team, but with a rogue or warrior on my I have to look out for myself and don't really have the time to manaburn. I do of course dispell as much as I can. But somehow it seems my warlocks lacks this little last amount of burst to kill the enemy healer. He himself says so in teamspeak.

Yet I've seen afflock/discpriest setups with over 2k rating. How do they do? Do they play more like 2dps with the disc priest really helping with the burst? Or what does a warlock have to do to down a healer on his own? Would it be better to spec destro for the burst?

If the enemy dps focus on you that means your warlock is free
to play around with the healer. Warlocks has a thing called
Drain Mana. It is very effective and should be used as much
as possible between putting dots up.

well when the kill is "set up" if you can you shood help with a MB + SW.D

Yeah, often the enemy goes down to maybe 10% but heals himself up, this is where you come in with Penance and/or SW to finish him off.

Wrong tactic.Do like this if warrior + healer.The paladin/shaman/druid (resto/holy spec) will pillar abuse so u wont mana burn.Drag/lure the warrior behind a pillar (the farest one from hes healer) and both of u dps him fast.This scenarios can continue like this:
1. either warrior will run to hes healer...
2. hes healer will come to warrior

in scenario 1 switch fast with all your dps on the healer and u will make him panic and choose wich to heal...cause they both will die (dots are op atm with crits  ;D )
in scenario 2 fear at will hes healer when hes in open ground but also keep dots on warr

the 3rd scenario is where u lose ^ ^ when u will chain fear hes healer...if he trinkets and NS heal...u have ~ 90% to lose or same goes if he bubbles ...in this case priest be perma rdy with dispells and mass dispells...the faster u do it the more chances to win u will have

No...... Destruction is worthless with a healer


And as for killing a healer, why? Killing the DPS works just as good.

Seeing as Ret paladins, Warriors and Rogues (3 very common classes) often stack some pve gear they are usually way lower on resilience compared to their healers and make a much better target to kill.

I also read you generally do good if you have time to manaburn and then I assume your opponents focus your warlock since you later say you can't cast manaburns while they are on you.
If they are on you, your warlock should be able to rape them just keeping full dots and then a fear on the healer and just SB spam the DPS.
I play Rogue Priest so I am not really the one to give you insight of how this comp works but I have a pretty decent understanding of it and hopefully you can use some of the what I've said, also, Affliction is the way to go and Disc + Affliction is very viable though it has some rough counters.

The warlock should dot everyone up. This will make the enemies healer go oom very fast because of the massive amount of healing he needs to do. You should also fear one of them, and fear the other one if/when he gets immune.
