Hehe.. No srsly whats the actual tier?

I was looking at the t9 bonuses and its 10% pet critical damage..?
I know its decent for destruction and demonology.
Even tho demonology is a utility spec..
But for affliction, seems kinda useless? ???

And also the gear has alot of crit on it, should warlocks been gearing for crit over haste now?
    Thankks.
Im a warlock. Not been nerfed for two patches. Its going well.

Yes it is kinda useless for Affliction, but you will still be using it since the 4set is rediculously good.

    T4 favored affliction
    T5 favored demo
    T6 favored destro

So now we have something that doesn't favor one spec? IMAGINE THAT!

    All specs use pets now.
    All specs use crit now.

This set caters to the basics of all the specs. Too much haste is bad, but when have you heard of too much crit?

And when do you go into a fight with 5 pieces of gear? Your other pieces can provide haste too.

The spec that will get the most out of this is of course Destro and FG. This will however help the puppy's mediocre damage. It may not be optimal, but its there.

    Caters to all the specs?

I haven't looked at T9 too closely. I don't know what "t8" favors, but I think Blizzard thinks that we need crit and no hit rating. Because the t8 gear has no hit rating, a ton of useless crit, and ... YELLOW freaking sockets (no doubt to replace the hit that we lose). It'd be fine if I could gem for haste in the yellow slot, but if the gear has no hit rating, um, I gem for it and lose both spellpower and haste in the process, which are vastly more important than crit, especially given the set bonuses and the 3.2 changes to Empowered Imp, which essentially devalues crit (and, to a lesser extent, haste).

You'd think they'd understand their own class. I mean, we're not mages. We don't need 45% unbuffed crit. My tier 7 is better than tier 8 (in terms of which stats are on the gear).

So haste is still better than crit?
Because i think i might be missing something here.

And has there been any worse bonuses?

Its not critical damage, its critical chance. And because emp. imp. was changed from 20% to 100%, its pretty good actually. For destro ofc.

If T8 was perfectly itemized so that you didn't have to think about hit (as much) then there'd be no fun in configuring your gear correctly and gloating over those who do it incorrectly.

T6 resto druid's (4) was a bonus to healing touch, which nobody used. There have been and will be worse set bonuses, you'll live.

T7 had - by most measures - too much hit. Between it and offset stuff people were struggling to get pieces that didn't have hit...and yellow sockets? Screw the +7 hit bonus, put a red gem in that puppy it'll be ok.

Blizzard's discouraging that by reducing the amount of hit on t9 items across the board for casters (you can check out the mage / ele shaman sets and see for yourself). Now - they think - you're forced to gem yellows with hit instead of SP...but overall with the new epic gems and the amount of hit you're likely to get from off-set pieces, you'll still be over-hit capped fairly easily.
Thanks for jumping on that grenade for me last night. You're the best wingman ever.
