Am I overlooking something? Dps seems low (Ret)

Okay so I have looked at a bunch of different guides and what not but it seems like my dps is lower than it should be.

What I was thinking i might do is look for a different weapon besides Worldcarver, maybe Aesir's or something from ToC. I am way over expertise capped with the glyph for Seal of Corruption. I am also looking to replace my cloak and Ring of Invincibility. I was thinking of maybe getting 8.5 legs to gain more hit than get the crafted leather boots because this would bring me over hit cap without the Icewalker enchant along with getting me the 4 set bonus.

Also If anyone has any stat weighting tables ( I cant find one atm) please reply with it. I have seen tables that look sort of like STR - Hit - Exp - Crit - Agi - Ap - Haste or something but then a ret pally i talked to told me haste is the stat we want after crit.

I think I just need a few more oppinions about my gear and where i should head.

Gear looks ok (get 4pc it's a nice Dps increase)
Enchants look ok
Spec/Glyphs look ok

So it's probably your rotation that needs help.

I dont really see anything that could be wrong.. maybe drop that strength/stam gem in your shoulder, you arent getting any stat except Stam out of that

I generally judge first (just to get the debuffs up on target for raid) then I start off by going CS>DS>Exor(these could be flipped and I probably will flip them once I get out of the habbit of doing it that way)>CS>Cons>Judge then prioritize

Ehm no. Judgement on fully stacked targets hits WAY harder than Exo/HoW. Also Consecration is better than Exo unless you're fighting an undead/demon and can count on a safe crit.
You should work with: Judgement>HoW>CS>DS>Exorcism (if 100% crit)>Consecration>Exorcism (if normal)>HW

Yeah How > CS > Judge > DS > Exo ( UD ) > Cons > Exo ( others ) > HW is the correct rotation with the 2p T8 bonus.

@ OP: Could you link a WWS parse or such ? Oh and you can get rid of that blue gem on your shoulder the meta only requires a +10 all stats on a blue slot ( counts like 2 blues )

While this is true for Exo it is just wrong for HoW and it's not because an ability hits 'WAY' harder that it does more dps, among other things you have to take CDs, crit rates, if it's a spell or not ( miss rate ) into account.

Wrong. You do not prioritize exorcism over DS, being that it procs your seal, and exorcism has a higher hit cap than our other abilities. SoR is the correct multi-target seal to use for now, and if you want to maximize your numbers, then you should practice juggling seals when appropriate. Also, contrary to popular belief, hit cap is 9%, not 8%, and being that you are horde and do not have a space goat to leech off, you might want to pick up something to get your hit to 9%, could help.

no, TBC hit cap was 9%, now it's 8% for melee hits ofc. I dare you to have a single miss at 8% hit on any melee attacks.

This is not true. Hit cap was modified when WotLK hit to only need 8%, or 263 hit rating (horde side). Thousands of WWS logs can back this up.

I have noticed the same issue. I think I know where the problem is. If you even notice in a pug even a ret pally in greens can do decent dps. I think that we start off doing well with dps, but we scale badly. I am probably the best geared ret pally in the world atm and the best dps Ive ever hit is around 11k on Hodir. Normally I sit in the 6-7k range though. I still get beat by lesser geared players, though these are good players dont get me wrong. I also notice our other ret pally with lesser gear can come close to my dps also. On a long fight such as XT hard mode I usually come out 700-1000 dps above them. But keep in mind I was very lucky and got fully ToC geared in about 2 weeks except for trinkets and weapon. Does anyone else notice that it might be a scaling issue with us ret pallies?

was in a VoA 25 pug the other day (big mistake) 6 of the DPS'ers werne't doing anything (ooo except moving around and avoiding the fire) figured this out because they were doing less then 200 DPS...
which in all honestly unless your a real low level you should do more even if your using weapon only, i have no idea what they were doing, but it wasn't dps'ing.

Though least they didn't die in the fires like the main tank was doing.. so gotta give them some credit... Reminded me why i didn't pug..

i thought the FCFS rotation was CS - HoW - JoL - DS - consecration (known in my dutch guild as "op de vloer kakken", translates loosely into "doing n°2 on the floor" ;D) exo - HoW.

but now you tell me it is otherwise?
