Disappointed in what I see with ICC loot

I figured that with this being the last planned full scale raid for WOTLK that tanking loot wouldnt suck. Guess I was wrong. Yes, it seems like they bloated most of it with avoidance(Dodge Parry) as opposed to useless BR/BV(dont get me wrong BV is nice). But srsly, what is with the over abundance of hit and lack of exp? I guess its time to get back into Ulduar mode, socketing and enchanting every possible piece available with Exp so I dont get robbed by boss Dodge/Parry.

??? Why blizzard you make me cry a little on the inside.

Dnu, perhaps they want to make the game more challenging by NOT giving you every single stat you need. But, that can't be right, can it? WoW, more challenging?

I highly doubt they are trying to make the game more challenging by poorly itemizing loot in the last tier of instance. Don't try and derail a topic about tanking loot itemization into yet another QQ about WoW's difficulty.

@wiggletard; You haven't seen the full loot tables for the bosses in ICC yet. Blizzard are trying to make sure all classes have a variety of options so it's likely when we get the full tables there will be Expertise options alongside normal ones. You can always wear your Maly trinket for extra expertise

Tanks gem for something other than stamina these days? (not that I've ever seen)

i lack expertise and use the "victor's call" from toc so cap so i can keep my stam trinkets. on another note. blizz cant put block on EVERY SINGLE ITEM. why not? simple. deathknights. then they would wander around in TOC gear cus they cant use ICC gear.

What I mean is that the designers are in no obligation to listen to everyone crying about this item not having enough stamina, that item having too much hit and this item not having enough expertise. I highly doubt you will die in the future instances even if you do wear the "poorly itemized" gear that drops in ICC. So long an item has tanking stats, how can it be poorly itemized?

Maybe poorly was a bad choice of words. How about 'suboptimal' instead?

Expertise is nice, but isn't abundantly needed. Same as Hit. Though I'm speaking as a paladin, so we get like 16 Expertise without socketing/enchanting anything.

Oh noes you have to gem/enchant slightly differently? Anyone would think you should have loot drop with gems ALREADY IN THEM because having to pay attention to what stats you want/need would be far too hard.

16 expertise if you use the SoV glyph which no prot pally needs. See what I did there?

    Otherwise you're gearing wrong.
    What is tank?

"The basic idea of a tank is well understood. It works like an argument with my mother. The mobs keeps beating on you, and the more you throw it's own shit back at it, the more it focuses on you and hates you. Perplexing enough, this is actually not only your goal, but the mob eventually gives you loot and money when it dies instead of writing you out of its will." (Senotay)

Re: Disappointed in what I see with ICC loot

I'm pretty sure if Blizz put expertise/hit on tanking gear someone would complain that its useless as they dont need more threat and would rather have the stam/avoidance. A little would be nice, but I guess that's what sockets are for.

    Exactly

You mean you can't blindly gem only for stam like a tunnel-visioning moron?

    OH NO!

Re: Disappointed in what I see with ICC loot

First off, we haven't even seen remotely anywhere near all of the loot. Blizz has stated - gone on record, stated - that 3.3 is going to have somewhere in the area of 1400 PvE items. 1400. One thousand four hundred.

I'm sure you'll find a pleasantly optimized piece of tank gear in there someplace. Also; what's wrong with regemming again?

Re: Disappointed in what I see with ICC loot

I'm disappointed in what I'm seeing out of ICC too. I mean come on, one of the coolest two-hand sword models in the game in Frostmourne and they give us some wierd forked piece of garbage for a model? Come on guys, there hasn't been a sword model since Naxx that has looked good!

I can. What else would you gem for? Threat? I out threat every tank I've ever met, especially the ones who gem for threat because they only seem to do this when they don't know their rotation.

Re: Disappointed in what I see with ICC loot

I heard the PTR has full loot tables for all modes and all bosses.

Face it, just like in 3.2, and just like in 3.1, the full loot tables will NOT be known until people get out there and start killing the bosses on live.
