Question about Leveling in Cata...

I wasn't sure if this should go in the Cataclysm board or the Hunter board, cause it's a bit of both. Anyway, I'm a hunter with dual spec MM/Surv (i usually use the marks one for pvp). I was wondering if it would be worth it to respec one of them into BM for leveling to 85 in Cata. I've always been told that BM is the best for leveling, but since I already have good gear and a good-dps surv spec, is it worth it to respec for those 5 levels?

This question might be stupid, but it's been puzzling me. ???

Any spec is able to do it and even if BM is superior its not gunna be by much since you'll probably outgear the first few levels anyway

Cata leveling is so far away, why worry about it now. For all you know they will completely change the specs from what they are now before you need to level.

For all you know you might even be around when cata hits so why fuckin worry about it. Tomorrow isn't promised for anyone so just do what you need and want to do for today and worry about tomorrow when tomorrow gets here.

First off, why would you worry about that now? and why would you not try BM for lvling? it costs you the amount of 50g to respecc :O!!!!

The trees are gonna be DRASTICALLY changed before Cataclysm, so don't even bother pondering it yet.

They're gonna rework the trees to remove all "Increases your damage by 5%" etc. talents and just incorporate them into the tree via Bonus stats for going so far into a specific tree.

You'll definitely get a free respec then, and by that point, you'll have plenty of time to review the new talent trees and figure what'll be best for leveling.

But, in my opinion, just go with what's the most fun for leveling. Everyone's right: you'll outgear the first few levels and the difference between specs, as far as efficiency, will be minor.

BM allows you to speed leveling up significantly because you can solo anything, it's fast, and doesn't require too much concentration as far as a leveling build goes.

Not to mention, hunter is going to be receiving some of the most drastic changes of all classes, as far as basic mechanics go. Not worth worrying about right now, really. Focus on ICC.
