I dont get it...whats the point of this change? Blizz trying to change something jsut so it has something to write in the priest section again?

It is just making sure the buff has a 100% uptime, if you look at DP in the lock section, the same thing happened.

it is making sure 25 people in the raid don't get the same buffs refreshed every few seconds, which has been causing fps-issues to countless players since the introduction of raid-wide buffs.
Basically, before you had to cast 3 PW:Ss a minute to get 100% uptime. It's down to one now.
Don't know why anyone would WANT to only cast one PW:S a minute if you're that far into Disc, but w/e.
Ya i guess you're right. looking at the Patch Notes....a ton of procs are being converted to baseline/flat % increase. Im guessing with all the weapons/trinket procs Blizz wants to push for, they need to reduce the rest of procs so combat logs/FPS stop going nuts.Originally Posted by krml

A lot of buffs seems to be getting this overhall. Pretty much any buff which is raid-wide and a proc/on hit is being turned into an aura, and they are clearing out some of the clutter.

Either way you slice it, if it's improvement to the game's performance then it's a good thing.

pvp nerf side effect ? internal 20 second cooldown means it cannot be refreshed on yourself or teammates if dispelled? testing probably required but that is what it sounds like.

If im not misstaken, Renewed Hope isn't a effect that can be dispelled, so there won't really be any pvp nerf.
If anyone plays with the default combat text on you would understand this change, most annoying one is fury warriors procing their shit every second.
