OpenRDX; can anyone tell me if it's worth it?

I'm interested in OpenRDX, but I'm hesitant to ditch my addons. It will replace a lot of the addons I use, but it doesn't cover addons like auction lite. I worry because what I've read implies that doesn't play well other addons.

Also, I'm not too sure about its set up, all the guides make it look easy, but I've seen pitbull guides that made it look easy. I'm not experienced with addons, I'm playing with pitbull4, kgpanels, and powerauras, but I am no means an expert.

Didn't even click the link before commenting eh?

Looks like a rather cool addon. I think I'll test it out later today. It might actually be as easy as they claim, but I really doubt that myself.

I have a little bit of lua experience, but RDX is completely different from anything I've seen before. After half an hour I still got nothing of it to work, not to mention the loads of lua errors.

Get oUF, rActionbarstyler, rActionbuttonstyler, ... and make your own UI.

Spend a day experimenting? I mean, if you're doing any kind of UI modifications, they're rarely going to work perfectly right out of the box. Just make backups of your current WTF/Interface folders and go nuts. If it goes wrong, all you have to do is restore the backups.

It sounds interesting, but all-in-one addons always have a quirk or two that piss me off, so I steer clear now.

I would love to make my own UI but addon authors make it so damn complicated. Unitframe addons are a perfect example of what drives me nuts about addons. If I want a beautiful set of functional unitframes, I better prepare for endless hours goggling guides, and experimentation. Only to find something isn't working right or just outright broken when I think I got everything in order. If I want something with a reasonable setup, what I get is either ugly as sin (xpearl, yuck) or just poorly written.

I'm sure someone with experience can easily set a basic, yet clean and functional UI in a hour or two. However, I'm not that guy. I do play with my addons for a hour or two every day but progress is slow. What I got for far is a cluttered mess, my UI is the blizzard default UI, with mods crammed in.

If you are begining in the world of OpenRDX, just follow this tutorial :

You have to try the konyagi raid frames, one of the best for healers.
