Enh Shaman vs Warrior? DPS

My question is: how at the end looks dps done by shaman and warrior ? Which one can do better dps in raids/dungeons?


PS. which class is better in dps: hunter or mage or dk . I mean fully gemmed and at the best itemization.

If you want to know which class will do the most DPS a year from now, you're better off asking a magic 8 ball or seeing a psychic than you are asking people on a wow message board.

That said, it's safe to assume that mages, hunters, rogues, and warlocks will do high damage.

Anyone who knows what they're doing can be competitive on the meters. Currently, as enhance, I beat my guild's fury warrior on a non-movement, single target fight like saurfang, he beats me on fights with movement and a fair number of multiple targets.

Theres an enh shaman that ranked on 10H Deathwhisper.

In general fury warriors and fire mages are the best dps classes for the majority of fights, at least judging by WoL and WMO.

Keep in mind that other classes provide the raid buffs and utility that enable them to do so much damage.

after cata hits just roll a tank they are kinda making healers and dpsers think ... while not mentioning anything about tanks other than a passive block for pala/warrior.
so want to fall asleep while noone notices your gone ROLL TANK its fun its boring you dont even have to think ..
(make that into a commercial with a high screaming voice and well you got rid of dps being the fun class where peoples enjoy high numbers)

Because some players do care about performance and performing always better with a class they are used to. Casuals say "I enjoy this class and /care about being first"

Fury warrior is almost intolerably boring these days. Make a frost dk, soooo much fun. Or make a prot warrior, equally as much fun if not moreso. Fury is awful and tedious. Arms is pretty fun though.

Something like http://worldoflogs.com/rankings/play...25H/Fire_Mage/ is better. You can change the fight and the classes at the top. Fire mages seem to be highest but don't think "ZOMG IM A FIRE MAGE I CAN HAS BEST DPS?". Thats not how it works.

tbh, play the class you like and you enjoy. If you are good, you can compete with any class at average levels of raiding. Plus, meters are not everything. Not even close.

Also: Fights are very situational and simply good RNG can be the difference sometimes.

I blow the dps of most of the warriors on my server out of the water on almost every single fight on my enhance shaman, so clearly Enhance > Warriors

what? World of Logs shows that warriors who are likely have every item on their BiS table, are probably in some of the best guilds in the world, and are probably more concerned about dps than other things always outdps Enhance shamans?

But I always outdps Warriors, so ~clearly~ WoL is wrong!


Being serious, just play the class/spec you enjoy more. If you are playing a class you actually enjoy, know your shit, and put some real effort into it, you could potentially outdps anyone. I do it every week on my Enhance in my guild's 2nd ICC run, and I'm one of the most aware and attentive person in that group to what's going on in the process.
