(H)<Rakicide> 10/12 ICC25HM - 3x/week - LF rDPS/HPala

[ABog]

<Rakicide> is a raiding guild on the Turalyon-US server. We formed in April of 2009 with the goal of progressing through as much content as humanly possible on a 3-night-per-week, 3-hour-per-night schedule. To date, we have downed:

We raid on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. Invites go out at 8:30pm with the expectation that we will be fully buffed and ready to begin the first pulls of the night at 9:00 on the dot. Raids run until midnight.

We are currently recruiting for our continued push into Icecrown Citadel and beyond. At the moment, we are most interested in the following classes/specs:

- Holy Paladin
- Hunter
- Mage

However, we are always interested in seeing applications from exceptional players of any class or spec. Especially ranged DPS.

As our time to raid is limited, we do not have time for gearing new players. As such, at this time a minimum of T10 equivalent gear will be required for consideration.

Expectations for raiding members of <Rakicide>:

1. Be an expert on your class. Know not only what you're doing, but why you're doing it. If you're gemming or enchanting for a particular stat, always be prepared to explain the decision and back it up. If you are aiming for a certain amount of a stat like crit, haste, or armor pen., be prepared to explain why.

2. Be ready for raids. This includes not only having enough flasks, food, and other consumables to last through the night, but also having researched any fights we will be attempting. Do not expect other members to provide you with consumables. Do not expect the raid leaders to explain your role in every fight.

3. Be able to give and receive criticism. We must all be students and teachers. If someone offers you advice, take it. If you can offer someone else advice, do it. This is how we all improve. None of us are perfect, but perfection is our goal. Everyone screws up from time to time. If you do, admit it, learn from it, and move on. Don't make excuses.

4. Have a thick skin. Due to the difficulty of the encounters we are currently trying to master in the amount of time that we have, there is often a high level of intensity in our raids, and occasionally tempers flare. Don't take it personally if someone calls you out or yells at you, and we won't take it personally when you eventually do the same. That said:

5. Respect your fellow players. This means showing up to raids on time, having read up on the fights, and ready to rock. This means doing your best to keep your cool in an intense raiding environment. This means at least pretending to be a decent human being, not just to your fellow guild members, but to other players on the server at large. Jackasses will be reprimanded.
