Why Gallywix Stayed In Power

Thrall's intentions may be more far sighted than we realize. Thrall knows perfectly well that Garrosh is not fully up to leading yet, and is counting on the other Horde leaders to keep him in check until he grows into his role. The goblins are a potential spanner in the works, though. If Thrall had a new leader appointed in Gallywix's place, the odds are high that new leader is someone who would feel grateful to the Horde for its aid. Grateful enough, perhaps, to not question Garrosh or work against him if need be. Nor can Thrall tell his new member nation "Welcome to the Horde, don't turn your back on the guy in charge." But with Gallywix, Thrall has someone who will do exactly that without Thrall having do anything to ensure it. Gallywix can keep Garrosh on his toes in a way no other Horde leader except maybe Sylvanas could, but with the goblins as a whole being a lesser risk than the Forsaken.

i'd say the main reason is that b/c your character was the hero and you obviously can't be a faction leader, this isn't oblvion, and rather then introduce and entirely non built up character out of nowhere they decided to leave him in.

She heads goblin operations in Orgrimmar, the Horde's capital, running shipments and orders for Garrosh directly. Heck, Garrosh is more of a goblin racial leader than Gallywix is. Goblins report to Garrosh, work in his fleets, do his engineering and construction, work hand in hand with the Horde military and have a vital role in the Horde's efforts in Cataclysm... all while Gallywix sits on his golf course dipping his toes in the water.

Gallywix is a meaningless figurehead of a leader. He runs the cartel with an iron fist, and forces respect... but only insofar as his whims and personal pleasures go. Regarding the actual running of his cartel in Horde operations, he's a meaningless absentee CEO having an extended holiday while his business is run by subordinates. Mida is really the closest thing they have to an actual "leader", as opposed to Gallywix who is more like a parasite.

Getting paid to be a bouncer and knowing someone will have your ass sold as a packmule to a yeti in Winterspring isn't respect, it's a healthy fear for your own well-being.

As far as the RAS goes, I think you give Sylvanas too little credit here. I'm sure she was quite aware of what the RAS was concocting, I think the only part that took her off guard was Varimathras making a power move.

Around 95% of the forsaken worship sylvanas, why dont you go check what they say when you click on them.

No one questions Garrosh's leadership anyway. if you look in the Beta everyone just does what Garrosh tells them to do because they're all scared of him. and on more than one occasion a Commander is relieved of duty by being thrown from a cliff or window

He's the stereotypical Goblin in many respects, extremely ambitious, manipulative and cunning. He's a fine racial leader for them I suppose, though I prefer Mida's more hands on approach with "big G"
