    I'm confused. I was under the impression that the uncanny valley pertained to (typically) robotics striving to achieve lifelike human qualities. All I saw -- impressive though it was -- was CG food stuffs and a kitchen.

    It can also be applied to the level of realism in a CG picture or film.

    Working as a 3D modeler/visualizer of course I would.
    Even more, I'd be rather surprised if real fruits could crash and fracture the way they do it in this video. Just look closer at them.

    Yes, I can see it applying to CG with animals and / or humans, but somehow not vegetables and kitchens.

    Yes but I am referred to the entire video not just the effects; there is nothing in this video that is physically real. Plus the creator Alex Rohan did it in a span of 2 1/2 months by only him and his partner. Here is another video he did last year.

    Amazing work with camera(virtual one), lighting and materials in the second video. Models are simple, but the lighting makes them look very good.
