cata download question

i just started my download and it says i need to download about 13gb worth of my hard drive space for cata, am i downloading it right because i thought almost the whole game should be already been pre-downloaded over these last few months?

i also clicked my wow icon on my desktop with the cata cd in and it started a patching about 120-130mb worth and after it was finished i checked if i could make or click the new race icons on the character screen but it is still grayed out.

just want to make sure im not downloading extra that doesn't need to be there.

It's going to be grayed out until cata goes live, so no need to worry

Are you installing from the disc? You don't need to do that; just add your CD key.

yes its installing from the disc atm and i already added my CD key to my account, so im good then? no need to download the data from the disc download?

The disc resets your game back to 4.0.1 then reinstalls 4.0.3 and 4.0.3a, so if you already have those patches there's nothing on the DVD that you need.
