As a hunter, the class seem to suddenly be the most hated in the game (stand aside rogues)

This has happened twice now..

Before Cata, I have never ever been kicked from any raid or instance.

Ive now been kicked twice in the last 24 hours and both for the same thing but in different instances.

A mob was marked for me to freeze and each time that marked mob was immune to the trap.

We wipe..

People nerd rage saying 'noob hunter' etc...

I'm kicked before I can respond..

p.s - yeah I also use MD on tank before I shoot the trap. It's honestly putting me off this friggin game..

You can never win unfortunately - they put in instances that you need tactics and brains for and people end up treating them like end game raids and start kicking people for petty reasons and their own dumb misconceptions, eventually that kind of behaviour will probably just lead to the instances being nerfed as so many people get pissed off with how the lfg tool is at the moment.

I've also been really put off running dungeons lately, I simply cannot be arsed dealing with these people.

maybe an imune mob ran trough the trap or maybe the person marking is just a dumbass, go with a guild and explain when a mob is imune or develop the mad skillz to actually trap mobs that are imune

Tell them you will mark a target that you CAN trap with the square. Give a disclaimer at the start. "Not everything can be trapped here." Suggest to the group that you do the square mark and you will trap pull and then the other CC (mage/shaman/S. Priest) can grab their marks to CC as they start the move towards the tank/group.

It was in Vortex and it was the one dungeon I had not done in HC so I was not sure.

The Shammy who was doing the healing then the flaming also hexed so we had enough CC but yeah, I agree, I may just farm farm farm and wait for the wannabe elitists to move onto something else they can rage at

From now on since you realize it is a problem, that depending on the mob a problem may occur with trapping, otherwise they will not know and you will be considered a noob. A little warning goes a long way.
