You know, no offence mate, but I am getting really, really bloody sick of these types of comments.

This expansion added content to endgame, yes - but unlike the other expansions, that is not all that it did. The BULK of this expansion is in revamping the 1-60 experience, and damn, its a blast (subjective, I know). When people complain about being bored and out of things to do after leveling hte last 5 levels on their chars, then all I can think is "Oh, so you're bored with part of the new stuff, and too lazy to try the rest of it, so you'll just complain that the game is flawed"

I hope that's not you, and I am not accusing you necessarily of being that type of person. But I very much DO hope that you have taken the time to go and enjoy the 60 levels, for two factions, as at least one class - it really is great how they tied old quests in, old NPCs are used in new contexts, the new zones are cool too.

I guess what I am saying is, if you want stuff to do, just go DO it - there is plenty that this game has to offer that most people have never done - and with the realID features, you dont even need to be out of contact with your guild / IRL friends when you faction swap!

When you've completed all of the quests 1-60 for both factions, then I can understand being bored - and if that's the case, then either try Roleplaying or quit - cause the game isn't for you if you're not enjoying it after trying everything it has to offer.

You have a casual attitude towards the game, but your time commitment to it, is not casual. That's some serious time you put into this game.

This isn't really a question anyone but you can answer. If it's that much of a drain, quit. If part of you wants to stay try changing the way you play. There's a lot more to do in WoW besides level and run heroics.

    Hey there.

I dont really post people's post but I think I should post on this one because I actually quit and cancelled my wow subscribe yesterday. No joke.

    Why I quit? many reasons.

The game never end. I have a thing for finishing the game and WOW is like a Hamster wheel to me. I want to finish the game but it just never stop.

Im HEAVILY PVE player and never a big fan of PVP. I wanna raid and lot of it!

I play the game so I can do raids but sadly no one really do raids nowadays. Honestly........

I wanna play Ulduar, ICC, and other older raids but no one wanna do it. The only way to raids those places is to join a hardcore raiding guild and the problem is....you have to applied on their website, and do all of that craps to just get in. Why not do a test run and i will show you how good i am? noooooooooooo it doesnt roll that way.

So yesterday i decided to quit and actually feel good about it.

THERES TONS OF GAMES TO PLAY THAN WOW!

Black ops, bio shock, red dead remp, etc come on now!

Well that's good for you then. MMOs aren't the type of game for you.

I'd much rather get 4 months out of WoW for $60 than 2 weeks out of a single player game I'll beat within that time. To each their own.

not to be pedantic, but 4 months out of wow is 60 + (~13 USD x3) (assuming the free month) so thats what? 99$? Just sayin.

[Math Disclaimer goes here - the numbers might be wrong, but my point stands]

Other than that tiny point, I agree elektrik - MMOs arent the thing for everyone.

You should try thinking for yourself for a change. If you don't enjoy the game just quit, don't come onto a forum looking for our opinion, you'll 99% of the time just get trolled.

There's only 1 way to avoid beaing dealt bad cards by the dungeon finder and that is to run dungeons with people you know. I suggest you start looking for other people in the same situation. If you like them, add them to your friends list. There's tons of people who are at the same situation, so instead of just feeling bad about it, see how you can make your game experience more pleasant.

    holy wall of text batman.......

I didnt read all of that but if you have to ask yourself the question then the answer is clearly to stop playing, your life can only improve without WOW.

WoW is a treadmill, but that is the point, you can't live in a game AND have fresh content all the time.

I have an 85 pally, and I'm trying to level my mage to 85 as well and can barely stand it. 5 is just.. amazing? I mean the new cinematic cut scenes were cool and all but to hell with that.

You're clearly bored. Play some halo, assassin's creed or black ops. Eat a sandwich, play with yourself or have some good old fashioned intercourse. Real life is fun man, except the graphics aren't as good.

Thanks all I'm think just take a small break might do it. That makes since being burnt out is probably just it.

OP: Wall of text! I had to TLR it. :P

However, if you have to ask yourself the question: To quit or not to quit, then clearly, you're not enjoying yourself as much as you should, and therefore, you should quit.

i dont have 5 level 85's but i don't think that having them is that hardcore, 80 to 85 takes less than 10hrs when you know what your doing, most people and even casuals play more than 10hrs a week so 5 in a month isn't anything crazy IMO.

  17. #37
Take a break and play again when you feel like it. If you never have the urge to play again then grats on quitting

Quit if you want, doubt anyone here really cares tbh, do what you wanna do....

You are not going to quit, not for long anyway. honestly you wouldn't be here if you were. You're probably burnt out from the game and need a break, but I really don't think you're gonna quit.

Yes LFD sucks. Hence why I won't run a heroic unless i have at least 2 other guildies with me. I knew it was going to suck once I heard what they were doing with heroics and it is the only reason I came back for Cata was what they were doing with the end game. I don't get to do as many heroics as I'd like because I limit myself to running with a minimum of 3 guildies but in that downtime I do some dailies, help out guildies with quests/reg dungeons ect.

You've burnt out by the sounds of things, 5 lvl 85s geared for heroics is not casual gaming. I burnt out many times in wrath myself doing chain heroics and raiding on 3 toons, take a week or so and just don't play WoW for that week, then come back to it and ease up on it. It should help your frustrations with the game.
