It's safe to assume she is one of the most powerful persons in Azeroth, if not the most powerful.
Fist pump for the Alliance?

Fist pump for the Alliance?
Eredar lord of the trifling Gnome.
sylvanas has the blight, magatha grimtotem has the doom stone, lor'themar and the bloodelves have both anima golems and the unrestricted power of the sunwell. everyone is sitting on a super weapon, blizz simply chooses to ignore it so that they don't instantly wipe each other out. similarly saying you have a super weapon does NOT make you the most powerful. it just means you have something to HELP you if you get in trouble in a fight.
...at this point it's almost guaranteed that "war in warcraft" is garrosh getting on his incompetent podium to declare yet another group his enemy for the crime of breathing his air, alliance saying this is horde favoritism, and the more....special....yes.. let's go with special... horde players seeing garrosh as a god because he lets them attack the alliance players who keep saying that out being led by a moron is horde favoritism.
What about Med'an and his Shaman-Paladin-Mage-Priest-Druid-Tirisfal Guardian powers?
Azshara is much much more powerful than Jaina.
It's safe to say that we'll combine all of these super weapons to fire into Sargaras face.... I'm hoping for one of two things A: with all our powers combine he is captain planet, or B: refer back to A.
It's like crossing an intersection. There's shit going on all over the place and you don't panic and act like an idiot then do you?
I think it's more like a Cold War scenario in which everyone feared a MAD (Mutual Assured Destruction).
They may have superweapons of some sort, ready to be used whenever their enemies use them. The strategy is effectively a form of Nash equilibrium in which neither side, once armed, has any rational incentive either to initiate a conflict or to disarm (presuming neither side considers self-destruction an acceptable outcome).
What's so special about the Focusing Iris?
Rule of Thumb: If the healer's HPS is higher than your DPS, you're doing it wrong.
if isle of thunder PVP dailies are considered even close to lore accurate, mana bombs are pretty much the new pocket nukes for both factions....that's a BIG if though.

focusing iris is similar to the doom stone...it takes arcane energy..then amplifies it TEN BILLION TIMES making whatever effect is using it way more powerful.

In lore it is stated that Malfurion is the most powerful Mortal on Azeroth. Even more powerful than the immortal demi-god Velen. But of all beings "alive" on Azeroth, Azshara is the most powerful by far. Perhaps more so than Deathwing. She considered herself an equal to Sargeras. Sargeras being the most power being in all of Warcraft lore save Elune herself.
elune is debatable as there's still no confirmed lore of what she actually is. also velen's not a demi-god, simply the only one of the three draenei leaders that wasn't corrupted by sargeras (and if lore weren't retconned because blizz can't think of new races he wouldn't exist at all because in the original lore it's the eredar that led to sargeras' loss of faith in his fellow titans.)

I love where this thread is going :P I can't wait to hear the theories.

She had the chance to use the Iris and didn't. What does she have from the Thunder King? All I recall is that Wrathion ate his heart.
No such person. Nope.

Um, she considered herself a peer of Sargeras because:
(a) She's incredibly vain
(b) She's insane, and
(c) She had no idea how powerful Sargeras really was.
And Sargeras is far more powerful than Elune.
