This may just be a bug or maybe I misunderstood its intended design, but after playing around in some heroics last night and on the training dummy I noticed my Combustion was not consuming my DoTs. Instead, It effectively doubled their damage and lessened their duration. Is this intended or a "new patch" bug that will be fixed later (along with all our glyphs hopefully)?

No, it's a super dot that doesn't consume the dots anymore. Has been so for a few patches.
It's the internet. You never know if people are either sarcastic or just bad.

Don't get too comfortable with it, according to the latest beta build listed on the front page Combustion is now going back to consuming the old dots.
