You called?
I've gotten a couple new things recently... a new desk and a new motherboard! Obviously reason to post. Oh and a couple neat books too. :P Yay for having a job again! It's paying off. I know the pictures aren't that great, been too busy to get anything good, or even finish cleaning up after building the desk! But here are some pictures from right after the desk was built and as I got the motherboard out and ready for use!
Enjoy.
Took out the old desk and had to make a mess out of my cables. (They were strapped/zip-tied to the desk before, so no, this mess was not always there!)
Almost finished with the desk, I had to flip it over... all on my own. This thing is likely one Linus Sebastian long/tall, or longer. Thing was almost as tall as me! One must always take things in perspective... thus put the desk on its side. :P
Down properly and comfy. Just needs some drawers now.
There's some drawers.
Getting the monitor stand on was actually a bit of a pita. =S
Fast forward two days to when I picked the motherboard up after work. Had to drive a good hour~ to Chicago and pick it up at Micro Center. On the way home then, I stopped at Binny's for some beer, called up Giordano's to order a pizza (black olives, onions, and fresh garlic "thin crust") and the whole process was about 3.5~ hours. Beers of choice that evening were Goose Island's 25th Anniversary Extra Special Bitter and Southern Tier's 2x Stout Double Milk Stout.
Hello, lovely.
One board just looks so superior in comparison...
i5-2500K in MSI Z77 MPower.
Copper-brown goes better with yellow and black than more brown, some light and dark blues, and just ugly ASUS.
Didn't spend much time on cable management, used the remnants of management from before and said, screw it, I want this shit to go.
Finally, less-related, but cool: new books. Diablo III: Book of Cain and Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia.
