Pandarian Druids, This would be awesome!

It would be, imo, extremely awesome if the Pandarian Druids Bear form was just getting down on all fours. Little changes can be made like their hair can spike or they grow sharper teeth but this would be hilarious. I would play a druid just for this haha, and I'm not that big of a fan of druids to be honest! Opinions? Likes, dislikes? Maybe blizzard could get something out of this XD.

Well, they did say they might rethink pandruids before release, but I wouldn't hold my breathe. I'm not sure I like the idea of "bent over" bear form, more, or a nekkid normal bear form with a panda skin.

Rule of Thumb: If the healer's HPS is higher than your DPS, you're doing it wrong.

I think they'll hold off on Panda Druids till a later expansion or major patch as a feature.

I for one would love it, I mean what's the problem? Think of it this way, Panda's have never heard of us until recently yet they've apparently mastered ways of the Warrior, Priest, Rogue and Warlock even. My favorite race, the Tauren, has gone 6+ years with constant exposure to mages in Thunderbluff yet still can't read a book and become a Mage..

So hell yeah, Panda Bear Bear tanks!

I agree it would be quite cool, no idea how the other forms would work

First, Pandaren can't be Warlocks. Second, Mage "philosophy" and Tauren "philosophy" clash. That's why there are no Tauren Mages (or Warlocks for that matter), not because they're too stupid to read a book. Tauren aren't really into the "Kill it! Kill it with fire!" thing. They're more about what's natural, and the arcane isn't natural.

That said, I'd like for there to be Pandaren Druids. If a bear turning into a bear is too absurd, what about Worgen? A Human that turns into a Dog that turns into a Cat? That's way more absurd.

I was kind of excited about the prospects of black and white druid forms, and what they could do with bear form. Oh well, I guess, unless they change their mind.

Don't mean to flame, but i gotta say it. Pandas aren't bears. They're more a raccoon. So a Pandaren turning into a bear is about as absurd as a Tauren turning into a bear.

Well, they apparently developed their own branch of shamanism. Can't see why not druids.

Trolls, and Human Druids(Worgen, Pre-Curse) make a lot more sense right?

I'm not to convinced about this "get down on all fours" thing, but i could see Pandaren Druids basically being a branch of their monks and more channeling the spirit of the forms instead of outright shapeshifting into them. Might get a bit problematic with flight form, though.
Maybe they could pull out a tiny cloud of sorts...

I'd like to see it aswell, but the idea pretty much got torpedoed in the Lore Q and A section.
Granted they could do a teaching thing like the worgen zone, but that never really made some of the comunity feel comfortable about worgen druids. I'd rather not see this happen again.

I was pretty miffed to hear that druids can't be pandas, especially considering goblins can't be druids either, so let's hope they rethink before release !

I'm pretty sure the druid class was available to them because of the curse, not because they were druidic before it.

As stated above the worgen curse was created by night elf druids, and the night elves feel somewhat responsible and are helping the worgen fight for their city. During this time the night elves have taught the worgen the terms of magic that led to their creation, druidism.

The presence of harvest-witches like Celestine suggests that Gilneans already had a good start with druidism. She makes reference of druid practices being "the old ways" and recounts a time when their powers supplied food during a time of famine, pointing to druidic roots as a base, even before night elf contact. This is agreed with in "Lord of the Pack" short story when Genn Greymane stated "He had heard that druidism was practiced among some of Gilneas's agrarian folk, but he hadn't been exposed to it until recently". It seems many Worgen have at least tried to embrace the druidic herritage of their new race after their transformation. This can be seen as a coping mechanism, or the fact that the natural powers can help them keep control of their animalistic rage.
    As far as trolls go

Unknown to the loa priests, Zalazane was slowly cutting them off from the spirits. When they were powerless to stop Zalazane he started to take control of the Isles. Vol'jin, wanting to prevent more of his people from begin controlled, gave the order to flee the Echo Isles. Many trolls, including the loa priests, witch doctors, felt they had failed their people and took towards the untamed jungles of the southern islands. It was here that Zen'tabra had a vision. In this vision Zen'tabra saw the Emerald Dream and spoke to the ancient raptor loa, Gonk. Able to reach across and bring Zen'tabra's spirit to him, he tasked her and her people to save the life on the isles and revealed a new way to connect with all the spirits of nature, instead of serving just one at a time. Since then the once witch doctors were taught directly from the Emerald Dream and the spirits themselves. And although the spirits are not keen on teaching more of her kind, they will help so long as the Echo Isles continue to flourish with life.
At least they have a story behind it. I don't see anything of the like for Pandarens and frankly I don't see why they should be druids.

I learned this yesterday saying the same thing, but recent mapping of the panda's genetic code explains that they are actually a bear and not of the raccoon family. However, if you wish to amend your statement and simply say Pandarens aren't bears, you'd be correct as they are clearly a humanoid.
