They're reworking the system to be better. They're opting to wait until the feature is more polished instead of releasing it in a form that they're not happy with. It was an extremely popular feature in beta, and my guess would be that we'll see it sooner rather than later, just not at release =]

Not superhappy with this decision, but I understand the thought processes behind it, and EL's decision to finally come down strongly on the side of fully moddable items being viable through endgame allows me to avoid clownsuiting as I level.

It is good that they take they take the players feedback on a feature but are "strong" enough to not release it when they are not completly happy with how it works.
