Boom, a tank or healer beat me on the role for Gurthalak, Voice of the deep on deathwing lfr, for the not first, not second, not third, but fourth time, yes, fourth time. The first time it was a dk, who already had it, he said now he doesn't have to worry about re-enchanting when he wants to switch from dps to tank, the second and third was a healer, a paladin healer, and the fourth, just now, on my 7th week of doing lfr, was a paladin tank, who won with 2 over my roll, the top melee dpser, the raid leader who screamed at half the raid to dps blisterings and who led them to success, the 2nd top damage done on half the fights. He said hehehe, I got your 2h didn't I and left. A tank. Blizzard, I honestly can understand you when you say "If they are given to roll need on it, they can use it, but there is such thing as role bonus's, where is mine over the tanks? This is the fourth time someone has won it for offspec, I am not even kidding, I sent it a ticket the third time and you gave me the same "if they can roll need, they can use it. No, they are just being massive jerks. Really, as a guy who doesn't raid at all in wow, gurthalak is the only great weapon I can get over the 378 weapons from the dungeon. And yes, I am making this thread because I am mad. I wasn't that mad the first couple of times but now I'm furious, this is ridiculous. I don't care that it's "Just a weapon", I would actually like to have Gurthalak, just like all my friends are lucky enough to have, because it's quite a decent weapon. I think I'm going to go hang myself now, I have never been frustrated over a game more than I am right now, and I've tossed a couple xbox controllers at the wall. I've had enough, I have no clue how this is still possible, for tanks and healers to win the 2h, unless it's a dk. I am speechless, I only live an hour from Blizz hq, I honestly feel like going out there in 6 hours and slapping each and every one of the employee's. Really blizzard, really?

No, I am not lying, I am not lying, that is bull. It just happened, I know, I message you a link to his armor to prove that he won it over me. How would that be proof? It shows him getting gurthalak about 10 minutes ago and it shows his only spec being prot, he doesn't even have a second spec, therefore showing that he was a tank and he won it and that I had rolled on it. DENIED.

Where has he stated that he didnt get the rolebonus? He complained that the paladin tank got it to, because the weapon is marked for tanks because of blood dks. Who shouldnt use that weapon anyway but thats a different story.

Tanks get the bonus on the roll for Gurth because it's flagged as a tank weapon for DKs. They can't limit roles based on class at the moment, just based on class or role so tanks do get the bonus. All I can say is do LFR with friends who share your loot type and team up to win. That's what most people do.

I have seen it drop 2x on my main and could put it to alot better use, even the LFR version then the stooped foreheaded people that win the rolls on it. Oh well normal version one inc.

Yeah, thank you for the feedback guys, I would do normal but sadly, time is of the issue and so is finding a raid group compatible on the weekends, so I just set my hopes on the lfr version but it keeps being stolen from me by jerks or tanks!!! And I do run with friends, four or five at a time, 3 of which also roll on the 2h to be able to give it to me, and none of us ever win it.

True, but I just felt as though I deserved it, atleast over the idiots that stand there and do nothing. And I say that because I'm usually the second highest roll, meaning that If they hadn't had won it, I would have. So I kinda can say they specifically are stealing it from me.

I have this same mindset (Although not to this degree) about Souldrinker. So far, every time Souldrinker has ever dropped, I've seen it go to one of the following: Unholy DK, Ret Pally, Arms Warrior, Blood DK. Personally, I want to get my hands on 3 of 'em. One for tanking, two to try out SMF with double Souldrinker, just to see how ridiculous the procs end up being. I've heard every single argument, between "That's a shit weapon for tanking" to "It's actually BIS for my OS, so I really need it"... so I kinda feel your pain. That's the reason that I get every single Pally/DK/Warrior friend I know to queue with me for the second half of DS LFR.

ok...having a dk alt i would have done the same thing if my dps spec was unholy. Its a pain to go to archerus just to reforge a weapon to respec. The pally healer, obviously wanted it for his OS...but as someone stated he would not have had a +roll.



EDIT: in your defense...on hagara one time two people died upon the pull...remember this, this is important later. We killed her and 2 vanq pieces dropped and i rolled on both...who won them? yea...the two people that died on the pull. I do think the people that suck get higher rolls.

Yes, it is quite a painful experience, especially with souldrinker, I could understand, It gives me cringes thinking about a ret paladin winning that over my frost dw dk haha, good thing I don't really play his frost spec. It really is frustrating and I wish blizzard could change some stuff up a bit, make it more like weapons to not only certain classes but certain specs.

Bolded the parts in your story that is a complete lie. It's one thing to be upset, it's another to exaggerate your story.

The following specs get +100 on their rolls.

DPS: Frost / Unholy DK's, Arms/Fury Warriors, Ret Paladins
Tanks: Blood DK's, Prot Warriors, Prot Paladins

The item is marked as DPS / Tank for getting +100. There is no way that a healer can ever beat you on the roll, unless you and all the other tanks/dps did not hit need, which is very unlikely in LFR.

My point is, relax and stop exaggerating. We all lose things, it happens. Best you can do is move on and not let it bother you.

In case you don't know (most don't) it's marked as DPS because obviously it's a dps weapon. It is also marked as a Tank weapon due to Blood DK's being able to use it for tanking which allows the other two specs to as well. Currently the system only allows for a Heal / Damage / Tank roll to be marked on weapons. Next expansion one of their goals is to revamp it so it's smarter.

So when an item is marked as the below they get to roll on it.

DPS: Every spec as long as they queued under a damage role.
Healing Items: Priests (Both Specs), Druids (All 3 specs minus tank role), Shamans (All 3 roles), Holy Paladins
Tank Items: Feral Druids (who queue as tank), Prot Warriors, Prot Paladins, Blood DK's.

just because he gets a +100 roll doesn mean hes going to get it, what happens if he rolls one? he gets 101, the bonus just increases chance but its still down to luck

On topic, get a grip dude Ive lost soul drinker every week on my dk and Guth on my warrior every single week, throwing a tantrum like a spoilt child isnt going to solve anything, I bet if you had to pay for them you wouldn't be throwing them against the walls, and to top it off, you need professional help for anger managment m when it comes down to it, its a dammed game grow up a little
