Hey, I was just wondering if top guilds (Like vodka or BL) clear normals the first week of a new xpac?

unless the gear difference really matters and is too big i think they do too. not that sure though.
Depends on the difficulty of the content. WOTLK was done in less than 3-4 days for normal content. I forgot how fast Cata was cleared, but it took way longer than that.
It depends on how fast the raid team can get to level cap. You can assume the top guilds will try and practice raids on beta much as they do on PTR. But raiding won't start on day 1 of a new xpac.
EDIT: Since everyone will be limited to ground transportation for MoP for 85 to 90, it's liable to take a day or three for an entire 25-man raid team to level up.

Depends, if it's hard and if there is anything from trash they can farm. Usually they steamroll to level cap and do whatever they do that week and kill the last boss at some point before the reset to start the Heroic Race. It's rare that it wouldn't be dead.
I believe the top guild at Cata launch (Paragon) cleared 11/12 normal in the first week of Cata.
you don't know what MoP brings... so you can't possibly know this
Actually wotlk content was cleared in the first 36 hours of its release. Not sure about cata either
Well, the only two expansions we can really go by are Wrath and Cata...I almost pugged the entirety of Naxx on one of the crappiest servers in the world the first week, but the t7 content itself was cleared in just over 24 hours of expansion launch. Cata was a step up for sure, I know it was fairly hard compared to t12 and t13 normal modes...I think it was indeed 11/12 for quite a few guilds the first week, Nefarian being the holdup. So, I'm hoping MoP will be comparable to t11, which honestly was a pretty well-made tier overall.
My guild had killed chogall in the middle of the second week. They arnt to hard just the gear will keep you back a bit.
Guilds who farm beta/ptr and kill them first week of live = yawn.
Guild that goes in "naked" and wings it? Bring on the popcorn.
There are no bathrooms, only Zuul.
I wonder how people learned to do it on PTR. GM must have taught them.
Or you know, checking logs/buffs/debuffs/timers/all the crap you'd be expected to learn on your own if DBM (which is set up by people who check those aformentioned things) and dungeon journal didn't tell you.
Edit: unless that's the point you were attempting to make, it was a bit vague as I re-read it
According to WoW Progress, yes. Or at least Paragon did. Released on the 7th, cleared on the 13th.

Well, after they have practiced it ad nauseum on the PTR, damn, I should hope they would.
They have in both WotLK (lol naxx) and in Cataclysm (Nefarian was killed december 12(minutes before midnight) and a few more kills december 13 (monday and tuesday during the first reset)
