Given today's date and the fact that Blizz said there would be no changes to the old world after Theramore I'm gonna have to call BS.

Meh, looks real enough. Someone with a flying mount + beta should get their ass over there. Should take no more then a few minutes from SW. So gogogo Beta testers and bring us a second source for this.

    Maybe it happens before Theramore?

Found that and my first mention was "Must be new." Then I flew through the sail of one, "Yep, new."
    FFXIV - Maduin (Dynamis DC)

Wonder if they'll make any mention of this in the quests in Darkshore. Would be weird to have a fleet fighting there and all of them still going on about rescuing the victims of the tsunami that hit there. Pretty sure they won't though. xD

    It's real.

It wasn't enough that night elves preety much lost Auberdine(to Cataclysm), half of Ashenvale (to Horde and a fire elemental), Azshara (to Horde), Winterspring (to neutrality), Stonetalon Peak base (to Old Gods), some other base on Stonetalon (to a Horde bomb), now they bring warships next to Teldrassil.

You know what, I'm just tired of this, they bring all this then say that just killing Garrosh and getting a more "united' Alliance will tip the scales back. Well I don't think that. Even Horde wants Garrosh dead, so it's a benefit to both factions and many don't want to sit under king Chin, some of us want the Alliance to stay as that, an Alliance between distinct nations, an EU with army if you wish.

So odd that they're so close to each other.

As it stands, from the looks of most ships in WoW, they lack cannons, so the most efficient way of dealing with other ships is either ranged combat or boarding them. I can see orcs trying to board other ships.

    Boarding actions.
Looking for Raid: you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Come - we must be cautious.

Maybe they were afraid that the Darkshore quests left the impression the Alliance might have actually managed a small victory over the Horde, so they put a whole bunch of Horde warships there to show the Horde still has a presence. Wouldn't want people to get the impression they're actually losing ground somewhere.

If you're gonna try to make a point, at least set it within WoW's time or provide context on exactly how long a zone has been neutral.
Good ser, dey took mai land!

Although possible, but from what we've seen of Horde-Alliance naval battles before. Warcraft battleships rarely opt for direct boarding, instead of long-ranged combat. The only reason for ship-boarding I can think of, is that the Horde must of wanted something inside one of the Alliance's ships.

Whatever the case is, this is likely going to be involved in Varian's "King of Trials" quests before MOP.

    1. Varian asks for Tyrande's continued support in the fourth war.
    2. Tyrande says no because she's lame like that.
    3. The Horde attacks Darkshore.
    4. Tyrande faints from the excitement.
    4. A nearby Varian sees this as a chance to /Flex in front of the Night Elves, and proceeds to repeal the invasion with his massive chin.
    4. Tyrande reawakens and swoons over Varian, thus gaining the support of the Night Elves in MOP.

    Calling it now.
