    Swtor will bounce back!!!!

I think it’s time the SWOTOR supporters out there find their voices! Help put an end to all this negativity!!! People moan and moan about, lack of subscribers, and not enough players, and yet by further promoting negativity, and gloom your just adding to the infection which is slowly crippling the thing they claim to enjoy.

If the man on TV says were in recession, what do people do?…Stop spending!. You say their lack of fuel, people go and buy fuel!!! You say swotor is dying, then you are part of the problem rather than being part of the solution!

I think it’s time we start a positive thread!!! – reasons to COME back or Get excited about SWOTOR, and if people can’t bring constructive comment then then for the sake of the game I think the thing they should bring from here on in is….silence!

We have heard the 1.3 comments and largely it’s all positive, and if people can get behind this then there’s no reason the game can’t take a turn for the better, which would be a great thing for everyone, not just Swotor fans. It’s a far healthier perspective all round.

I for one Love Swotor, because I love the starwars universe, and I enjoy the game immensely, I do think it needs more players and with new improvements coming this will happen, but it’s not going to be an overnight thing. It’s like a successful business, you work on it, you remain positive and little by little you succeed.

Sadly, were inheritly a nation of moaners often bent on seeing things topple and fail, it’s such a common thing in our life’s we just more comfortable with this being the nature of things. If enough people want it to be a success it will be, but I fear most people want it to fail, and personally I see little justification as to why that’s a good thing other than to fuel peoples ego’s – who are just negative because they just want to fit in basically.

Thats just my opinion - Cmon peeps! - Come back to swotor - Its a good game and its getting better, and its time people rally behind that, because it deserves a chance. Its a new game and it needs encoragement.

I've been trying to do my part on the official forum. I think that once the game is more or less polished and ironed out and all the features that the WOWnubs are screaming for have been added then a massive marketing campaign will see this game grow IMO. They released too early, if they hadn't I think that the subscription rate would of been a lot higher as would the concurrent player base. Only timewilltell2.

Please post without insulting other forum members. -Cula

Sadly, I don't think SWTOR can make a comeback, the damage is done, and the game will die. Nothing can stop that now

I got a full refund (including shipping) from Amazon, back in January, but I had hoped that the game might improve so I could return later. That's clearly not the case, because they've already lost 25% subscribers, and just fired like 200 Developers. I had really high hopes for SWTOR, but it just wasn't meant to be
Rest In Peace, World of Warcraft. Subscriber count doesn't matter, WoW has been dead in spirit for a while
Rest In Peace, Star Wars the Old Republic. SWTOR is a fun RPG, but a bad MMO

    While its an amazing game...

There just isn't that many Scifi fans who are into MMOs and those who are have a few years invested in Eve.

This game will probably settle around 800k then rise to about 1m with expansion peaks at 1.2m.
    (Warframe) - Dragon & Typhoon-
(Neverwinter) - Trickster Rogue & Guardian Fighter -

Dude, thanks for telling us in every forum you post in that you got your refund from Amazon.

We don't care. Go hate somewhere else.

OP - yes, the game is in good hands, and it will bounce back.

I think it is hands down the best mmo i've ever played, currently leveling up toons with my mate, and the whole social points and speech options i think are 10 times more fun with a friend involved ( great in solo play too), and the pvp is quite balanced, not prefect, but as good as ive seen in any mmo, hopefully 1.3 will bring some more players back in and the game can reall take off

It's too late, they already released Star Wars Kinnect. SW franchise is now officially dead.

I do have my concerns about the game, but i also have plenty of enthusiasim left.

Once 1.3's in i think that'll be a great baseline for the game to grow from, they'll have all the systems in place, should get back to healthier populations. they should have launched the game at 1.3 to be honest.

And then it'll be up to them how it goes, 1.4 will be a critical patch, with all the gamesystems in place, we'll see on a patch by patch basis how much they'll expand on their current systems and add new content.

they've just been playing catch up until now IMO.

Still im enjoying it and it made me uninstall the other mmos i had on my machine in WoW, STO and rift.

I'd love it to make a comeback, I loved the story mode, but finding groups was abysmal... bring it more up to date and add in the features that every modern mmo should have and I will happily re sub.

    I don't know - aren't KoTor 1 and 2 praised as being brilliant?
Also if I see more gibber about the ME3 ending I might shoot someone....

The main problem i saw while playing Swtor is they left a lot of features out, which players relied on. I'm a lazy gamer, i like to just click a button and the game do the work for me, etc Dungeon finder. You can tell me about how its coming with a patch (or already been released) but it should have been in with 1.0.0. The amount of things they left out, at launch which can easily make or break a game was insane.

I'm not the only one that thinks this way, the gaming market is now in a causal state, sitting around for 30 mins shouting in town for partner to do a flashpoint with is a joke. There are other things too but this is the main thing that annoyed me. Just seems to me like they looked at WoW and Rift and thought no, we are not going to put all these features in that helps players socialize and communicate...

KOTOR 1 is praised as being brilliant, for it's time; but it hasn't been relevant for many years. It's not even worth going back to play again, because it's just so outdated and unplayable. KOTOR 2 wasn't praised much, it was a lackluster game, but BioWare didn't make KOTOR 2 so it's a moot point

Sounds true, bought KOTOR 1 off Steam - played it for 30min and found it to be terribly outdated. However KOTOR 2 did get a lot of praise, most reviewers gave it 8 or 9 out of 10 and the likes. Wasn't aware that it wasn't made by Bioware though. O well.

To quote Star Wars: "I think they're severely overestimating their chances"

That's how I feel about the game currently. EA built a robust infrastructure that is not being fully-utilized, and that's why the server communities are inconsistent. They badly need a dungeon-finder, or cross-realm if that's even possible. I am hardly able to group up for Flashpoints, which is needed in order to change things up from the leveling grind.

The game can improve if BioWare/EA will acknowledge the ACTUAL flaws of the game as it currently stands: no dungeon-runs while leveling and disjointed server communities.

And to the people who say "re-roll on another server", you're missing the core principle of gaming; It is up to the DEVELOPER to fix problems. Only with MMOs do we see that it is the consumer who is forced to compensate for the developer's mistakes. People I've spoken to agree that EA/BioWare ought to have just made KoTOR 3. It would probably have made them more money in the long-run.

Seems like the OP is confusing SWTOR with KOTOR..... ;D AH!!

Nah but seriously, lack of customization, a static model when it comes to classes and specs, the old raiding model of WoW without any prospect of doing it better than WoW (or even Rift), Bioware slacking on Ranked Warzones when PvP is one of the rare things they did well, the gear treadmill problem sauce 2.0 and that both in PvP and PvE...

All of those tell me there won't be much of a comeback. The only thing this game really had for it was the SW franchise, other than that it's an hollow copy of WoW. Where Rift at least tried (but failed) to add some innovation through the Soul System and rifts before going full WoW, SWTOR didn't even add anything relevant (except maybe Companions).

How is it dead, when it is the 3rd most popular MMORPG in the west, and that's 3rd place out of 300-500.
