    question about crossfire 7850

So I recently got a sapphire 7850 2gb for $170. Damn nice card, super cool. I was thinking about getting a second one to xfire it. But is it really worth it? Im using a 46 inch led TV as my monitor. I get some screen tearing in ultra high setting for Bioshock infinite. Would a second 7850 fix that or should I change the card out for a single 7950 or 7970?

Overlock could help it to be more performant, but I don't understand what is the problem
    My first build:
Storage: Kingston SSD Now V200+ 120G and WD Caviar Blue HDD 500 G
    Processing Units: i5-3570k @ 3.8 Ghz cooled by 212 Evo and MSI Twin Frozr 3, R7850 @ 900, 1200
Mobo, Ram, PSU Gigabyte Z77-D3H and G.Skill ripjaw 2x 4G with XFX 550w
If I am unreadable, its not because I hate grammar, its because Im french-canadian

If you want to minimize screen tearing, there are 2 options:

    1) Vsync

    2) Nvidia SLI

You can CF with minimal screen tearing if you turn on VSync.

Crossfire will not solve any tearing issues as far as I'm aware.

If anything, it'll worsen them. Screen tearing means you're pc is sending more frames per second to your screen than it can actually show, which ends up in frames being shown while mixed together. That's tearing. Crossfiring another card will not only give a heap of trouble (because crossfire and SLI are a pain in the ass) - it will also not solve your tearing issues.

What exact model TV do you have? Chances are it's 60hz (as with most tv screens) - which literally means it can't show more than 60 frames per second. If your pc is pushing 200 to the screen, that results in tearing.

VSync synchronizes the vertical frames your tv can handle, as to prevent tearing. Turn that on and your problems should be gone. (I know seeing a number above 60fps is awesome to see, but your eyes don't register the difference above 60 and your screen can't handle it. OP PC = Vsync.)

I have a Sharp 46' LED 120hz, i need to try the VSync(makes so much sense now) making Im getting my jargon messed up. Here is what my tv does, the screen will like skip a little, not the whole screen but you see a dividing line or almost pause as if its skipping a beat. Doesnt affect gameplay but its just annoying. Any ideas on how to correct that?

    Btw my specs r

    AMD 4.2hz(OC) 8-core
    16gb ram 1866
    sapphire 7850 2gb

120Hz (or 200, 240, 300, 600 or whatever) is a big fat lie. Those TVs can not refresh full screen any faster than 60Hz but the in-between frames are faked in with various methods to make motion look more natural.

Try it first thing before anything else.

Sounds more like simple skipped frames because you're running the game at too high settings. Vsync should help a lot with these, and turning settings few steps down from ultra because R7850 is not a high end card.
