So stop playing big boy on /2. If you are incapable to pull it off unless you are carried by people that don't need anything in the instance, stop being such a know-it-all.

Maybe they have an overall high item level and just need 1 or 2 items. I know I've been in that position before many times. If you don't like someones rules for a group then just make your own.
Clearly, cause people above 540 ilvl don't do Flex. And people above 553 ilvl don't do normal mode. Sounds more like you're the one who wants to be carried on your scrub 510-520 alt.
My favorite is when I join a Flex raid requiring 540 iLevel gear, then check the raid leader and see he doesn't meet his own requirements. Seen the raid leader with ~525 iLevel demanding only 540+ players.
/nope the fuck out of them raids as soon as I see it. After mentioning it in /ra of course...

In my experience, people making complaining threads about these subjects are the ones wanting to be carried.

Well, that's the famed "social aspect" of online gaming you have to deal with when the developer decides not to offer a proper group finder system.
Didn't you make almost the exact same thread 1½ hour before this one?
I agree with this. I can understand having the requirement, getting a solid group for people looking to fill a spot or two that they are unlucky with; but if you see the RL that asked for a high ilvl with a low one, call him out, leave, and most people will follow, and you could possibly just grab them for your own group and replace the turd who tried to be carried, since they obviously wanted to do it and were geared. win/win ... get rid of the trash player and still go for loot; and if everyone is overgeared anyway, you probably don't have to replace the dead weight either
Yup, I'll use this guy as an example.

Doing a flex 2 group now with 550 ilvl req on my 550 priest. Definitely getting carried!

Look, that's really none of your business. If I'd only need one or two items out of a raid instance, I'd look for the best people to get the stuff done as fast as possible.
If that's a problem for you, feel free to make your own raid group with lower or no requirements.
No its not true.
The reason why they ask for 540 is to filter out some of the timeless scrubs who are in 535 and the 450 ilvl weapon from the scenario, and havent seen jack shit of the instance and usually be dead weight to your raid team anyway. Asking for 540+ is one way to filter out those scrubs. If anything they should remove the timeless tokens so its easier to filter these people out from genuine well played alts who are at 520ish and cant get into anything beyond flex part 1 because they are branded as timeless scrub due to ilvl.
If you have 2 applicants for a job and one has a master's degree and 5 years experience and the other is an energetic high school grad I guarantee you which one you'll pick every single time. Now, the high school grad may be a better employee, but the chance of that is very, very small and you always take the safer bet and take the experience professional. Same thing here.
Also, I guarantee you when my brother and I go to cap VP in chain heroic scenarios today we'll be doing "LFM h scenarios for VP cap 550 ilvl, pst." Why? Because its an absolutely safe bet.
I usually laugh at that guy because i solo it weekly and have 1/2 glaives and many other legendarys and achievements, how i soloed 90% of Ulduar 25 achievements i'll never know i still dont believe it to this day, they are frickin hard bro! Specially the Razorscale one, takes ages to solo.
Edit: My main is a rogue i might add, very tricky to dps and heal and run and etc etc
I had to go get an addon to show peoples avg ilvl.. cause that shit pisses me off.. I only do garrosh fights in pugs, and I always allow it one or try wipes.. but I become an asshat if you set requirements you don't uphold and I'll leave at the first sign I get that it will take more than 2 trys to get down..
There is a reason why I only reply to people asking for 550+ ilvl, I do not want people who don't know the tactics and I want to be able to burn though phase 2 and 3 without adds...
