    Looking for new case

Recently went to a larger lan party (lanwar) which was located about 3 hour away from where i live and had two other people going with me so we all had computers with us. Problem was I currently have a NZXT Phantom 820 and we quickly realized that my computer takes up 30% of the space we had in the back of the suv we were taking. Ontop of that i already have a bit of a bad back and carting that thing around was not a pleasant time.

So ive decided to change cases and im actually now looking for the smallest case i can find that an ATX sized mobo can fit into. New motherboard isnt an option because im using an 8350 with the Crosshair V formula-Z. I also need something with good cable management as well as room for an NZXT Kraken x60. (may look into getting an X40 to cut down on the space i need)

You expect a small case that can fit an ATX mobo and want good cable management? Not sure if possible, unless the case has no sides and you put all the wires outside.
Well, you didn't say the budget or country. Anyway, sounds challenging so here goes:

    100$ http://pcpartpicker.com/part/lian-li-case-pca55b

    250$ but it's aluminum so it's light:

    120$ish

    60ish$ but a bit bigger:

Those are pretty much the smallest, that will fit an ATX mobo.

Why does using an 8350 with the Crosshair V formula-Z stop you from getting a different mobo?

You could get a mATX board and Coolermaster N200 for under $150.

I guess he doesn't want to 'downgrade' from 230$ mobo

if you have a good alternative mobo that gives me overclocking capabilities that you could vouch for by all means throw one my way. Im currently overclocked to 4.8ghz (wouldnt care to take it down to 4.5). Id consider it
    Personal Rig: AMD FX-8350 / Gigabyte Windforce G1-GAMING GTX 980 / 8-GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 1600Mhz / EVGA SuperNOVA 750w PSU / Corsair Carbide Air 540 / NZXT Kraken x60

    Only $60

Problem with changing mobo is theres probably a 50/50 change you would need to reinstall Windows and games to make them work again. You can just use the old Windows install but chances are there would be something not configured properly.

If you want an actual LAN-oriented case then look no further than CM Storm series.

    Storm Scout 2 Advanced: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119263

    And it's full-tower brother, Storm Stryker: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119260

If the overwhelmingly positive feedback wasn't enough...these cases are built tough and have great cable management. CoolerMaster can't match the elegant/sleek lines of Fractal or Corsair cases, but their Storm series are awesome for being extremely rugged + functional, got all the cooling options you need while going for a "rawr, fear me" look (if you're into that :P).
