@OP: depends on the race really. Warlock and priest have the best cloth gear...for leather, rogue....for plate, paladin. IMO. Generally not all that impressed w/either hunter or shaman tier but shaman has a few standout sets that look good.

I've found that race matters ten times more than class. For the more "human" races (humans, elves, female trolls), there are tons of good-looking options for every class. For the shorter races, most gear won't really be visible and there are only a handful of possible sets that really stand out. For the weirder races, like the wonky heads of taurens and male trolls, there are rather few sets that actually look good and almost all helmets look terrible. That greatly limits what you can really do in terms of mogging.

No, it quickly became a place for linking mog sets that show as much female skin as possible. Note how there are zero male characters posted and how only two are wearing shirts.

Paladin. You got your fancy tiers but you can also reach to the best warrior tiers such as firelands look alike or tbc dungeons recolors from vanilla tiers. And top of it all ymirjar lord and scourgelord recolors/look alikes. (I know scourgelord is DK.) I don't think a warrior can get the best look alike tiers from paladin.
If not paladin, then I say warrior, because they can have the Naxxramas tier, which has no recolor/look alike. It's absolutely mind blowing for me.

Apparently, haha. All I have are female characters...makes sense as I'm female....I don't have any issues w/skimpy mog but yeah, definite trend here.

With leather, it feels like good models are very few, rare gems. A lot of stuff I wouldn't ever wear and it feels like there are fewer models overall, which makes me absolutely dread making a leather transmog set.

Rogues have some good stuff. Druids don't, although I like T6 on tauren and T3/7 on any race.

Personally I love this on my hunter. Arrowsong goes nicely with it as well. Although I am working towards a full tier 2 and Sunfury bow I think that would go nice

"Less is more" is not something I agree with when it comes to transmogs.
Plate is the best, and I think Dk has very few sets that have been disappointing.
Leather is the worst, and Monk has so little to choose from, so they have very limited options. Mine is currently mogged as an Orgimmar Grunt.

In my opinion, clothies by far.
Doesn't even matter if Lock, Mage or Priest - cloth wearers have a vast superior array choices when it comes to good looking mog sets.

I find mail the worst. Very few good looking pieces.

Warrior is the best one to transmog on, as the weapon master glyph allows the usage of Grand Marshal/Warlord weapons.
That is, of course, if one likes them.

generaly avoid mail and leather wearers as theres not much you can do to not look like shit (see above screenshots), plate and cloth offer multitude of options

I'd say mage is the best class. Paladin is the second best, but it's really a matter of preference - cloth/plate look.
Mail armor is rarely good-looking, and leather is just sad.
