Not the same thing. You can grow from a baby to a man, you can't grow from a man to a woman.
You can artificially alter your appearance and take drugs to simulate female characteristics and oppress male ones, but you cannot compare it to growing up.

I guess it depends on what you choose to define as a man or woman, but in a biological sense they're still men. If their partially decomposed bodies were found, the medical examiner would recognize it as an artificially altered male body.

If someone feel the need to do this, fine go ahead, that's their prerogative, but there's no need to twist facts in their need for approval.
