Brazilian baby-rapist getting gang-raped in prison

So basically this guy in Brazil raped his 16 month old stepson and beat him to death and turned himself in to the police. Now in prison, his fellow prisoners were so appalled by this he gets brutally gang-raped multiple times by approximately 20 inmates. This didn't happen once, but twice causing his stitches from the first time and his ass being torn apart. You can see the article for a photograph. Even though you see very bloody shorts, you can bet he suffered really hard by just looking at it.

Now what do you think of this? Do you think karma works fine or should he get some sort protection from this (and then I don't mean a condom)?

If anything, it's vengeance. I mean people always claim there is some code for prisoners but IMO it's just a double standard.

Couldn't really care, prison in Brazil is a joke, the guards do jack shit except watch the prisoners with twitching fingers stroking guns; The inmates murder each other with alarming frequency and narcotics are rife.

That a child abuser was killed doesn't surprise me, i won't wish death on anyone, no matter the crime; Just that this isn't news to me.

Edit; Not killed, but just raped, eh, still couldn't care.

Move him to another prison for all that matters, but he'll face similar circumstances.

That's terrible, doesn't matter why he's there even the perpetrators are going to be there for awful reasons too. I actually empathize but like I'd look the other way the first time... however that's extreme. That picture of the baby is hilarious it looks so serious, is it 4 or 40?

I think vengeance is disgusting.

The justice system works by locking people up, to torturing them which is what this is.

This is a total failure of the justice system. Which should protect the basic human rights of prisioners, whilst keeping them incarcerated to protect society.

You can judge a society by how it treats its most vulnerable and its prisoners. This is a total failure of the sytem. Lock him up, keep him in prision, but no one, no matter what they've done, deserves this.

Human rights are just that. Applicable to everyone, not just people we like.

pretty cruel, but to be honest...he still got his life, thats more then you could say about his stepson.

i think this are two diffrent things:

1. the situation of brazil prisons which are even by american standards hellholes of violence and lawlessness but this extends to the whole brazilian "lawenforcement".

2. a childabuser and killer got savagely raped.

the first i think is a fact that should be changed, the second i dont care much for, some might even call it karma.

Rape being a suitable punishment for rape is circular logic. If you want to end a behavior then you cannot condone it in any circumstance.

That anyone is ok with prisoners doing this is awful. Rape is awful. We don't rape to punish rape. That rape is a punchline, or that you think it's ok that some prison has essentially no security, is ludicrous. Prison sentences are supposed to be that, not "...and also the inmates will destroy you".
