SE delivers on their promise of more information at E3. Here's the highlights thus far:
Rogue/Ninja confirmed
source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG7-QfjLQ-Y
Rogue:
-Dual wield abilities
-Faster movement speed
-Less fall damage
-Mutiple poisons, a la Rogues in classic WoW
-Stealth-based, some actions will be stealth-only
-Daggers/Knives (like PUG/MNK, won't be seperate)
Ninja:
-Added Ninjutsu/Mudras
-Uses different combinations of skills to achieve success. Wrong order, the skills will fail.
-Less positionals than MNK, focus is on poison/skills.
-Different monsters require different positioning to use certain skills (Huh? Video showed Ninja hopping on the monster's head)
-Will incorporate dual-wielding (I'm assuming different from PUG/MNK).
Rogue/Ninja is a pure DPS. Thief was not a "specific enough" class, so Rogue is essentially FF14's Thief.

Brutal boss modes (Primals, Ultima (Seems Lahabrea is behind this), Twintania!!!!), same-gender marriages, airship docks, special attributes on gear being considered aside from straight stat boosts, Shiva/Ramuh Primal fights.

Excerpts from Transcript:
Extreme Coil (similar to Heroic Mode raids in WoW, shares lockout, meant for prestige. My guess is SE is gauging player interest for future support. Does not drop stronger items.)
Q: In the last letter, you talked about a ridiculously hard battle that even devs couldn't beat. What was this battle?
A:We were talking about a harder mode of Coil. An Extreme Coil if you will. That's what we call it. In English, it'll be the Brutal Version or something similar. It's extremely punishing. It's going to be similar to XI where people would enter a fight with a debuff and die if they move before it goes away. We want that same level of difficulty. It's not going to be as completely in the dark, but still very very difficult. This is a test. We're seeing if players worldwide would like this type of content. The rewards will still be the same. It's mostly a status thing. Also, just clearing normal version locks out the Extreme version for weekly attempts. If you beat Extreme mode, you get a title. If there's interest, we'll add new loot, but for now, it's mostly a beta phase. This will be in 2.3.
Information on the expansion will be discussed during October, but still a long ways off. Look forward to an event during Fan Fest (October) for the Garlean Generals (Nero/Livia/Gaius/etc). An idea that was tossed around was fighting all 4 at once, but SE changed their minds because they thought of something better.
Personal housing will be out at 2.38 at the latest (server stress).
Shiva will NOT be in 2.3, though her story will debut in 2.3 (much like Ramuh's introduction).
Airships will be built in the basement workshops of company housing.
No gunner info yet.
EDIT: Would like some help on cropping the images.
