    Issues with SEF

    Hi guys

    I am having some issues with the use of SEF. What I normally do is that I press 2 x SEF (on different targets ofcourse) as the 1.st thing (as in the second the tank is pulling). I use the WA from this thread: http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-Fire-WeakAura

    What I dont get is, that it seems like my clones dissapear 50% of the times I use em. At least I rarely see both my clones staying up. Some times its just 1 of em, some times they both dissapear. I just dont manage to use this ability in a good and smooth way.
    If you can help me out it would be much appreciated since the spells is freakin strong!

    Any tips? WA's, macros, ANYTHING!

    If you are testing on dummies, the tank dummy seems to 'reject' SEF clones.

    If you are seeing that elsewhere in the world, I dunno.

    Some abilities seem to be killing the clones, especially in 5mans I've noticed.

    I myself am still looking for the same thing. But for now I am using AdiButtonAuras so I can atleast track a bit easier how many clones are up and if they are up. Instead of having to through my buffs.

    I've noticed this as well, I chuck the clones onto off targets in dungeons and leave them to their work. then all of a sudden 1 or 2 is dead. I was thinking that it's some aoe ability that kills them.

    I didnt even knew they could die before their target is dead or I run out of range!? Hmm... Any ideas here?

    @Outzt: Adibuttonauras - How does it work and does it function well for you?

    Could be quite posible that the tank just loses agro on those adds ur SEF is on. A Melee hit to their faces kills them quite easily. Making the tank no.1 in aggro again.

    AdibuttonAuras is a addon that adds timers/borders/Stacks and more to your actionbar buttons. Incase of SEF is gives it a border and shows you how many Spirits you currently have up. Kinda like your buffs in the top right corner. Just a bit easier to find and more noticeable. You could make a weakaura instead aswell.

    Got the weakauras mentioned in my 1.st post here Ill see when I get back home from work. Could have something to do with me putting the clones out 1 sec to early so that they reach the mobs before the tank and therefore dies?

    Ah ok. My bad, I thought you meant that it was broken. that's why I mentioned the addon.

    I've noticed they tend to die to things that aoe fear/stun a lot. I assume they just don't get feared or something. Sort of like Onyxia - if your tank was feared, you wanted to be feared too or she was going to turn and slap you.

    I use "Storm, Earth and Fire" (nice, unique name huh?) to track them myself. It plays a sound when they die or when I target the same target as a clone. The only problem I've had with it is post-6.0, every once in a while (maybe a few days in-between) the position resets for some reason to the center of my screen. It's a minor annoyance, but was never an issue in 5.x so I'm hoping it gets fixed.

    They are getting aggro before the Tank has aggro. Happens to me quite often. I haven't seen them die to AE yet but if they pull aggro (especially using them directly on the pull) they will die in 1 or 2 hits.

    They die a lot in dungeons from aoe and stuff

    Yeah, it's even worse than in MoP CMs. Everything seems to cleave/AoE just enough for clones to randomly die.

    They have always been killable, although I suspect that WoD dungeons are even worse for clones because they get CCd by the 9001 AoE fears/stuns/disorients which might also despawn them

    From what I can remember they work like pets. Which means they have a damage reduction of 90% when getting hit by Aoe. A mob faceplanting them a couple of times killed them even in MoP. So that part hasn't changed . So unless I'm mistaken or they have changed something, they must get hit by 1 hell of a aoe ability inorder for them to die. While writting this I was thinking about healers current state of Aoe healing, since our spirits will still need some healing when they do get hit by Aoe. Might just be a shot in the dark though.

    I think they're counted as guardians, and I'm not sure if we ever got confirmation that they actually have the 90% reduction(it sure didn't feel like it in CMs during MoP, mine kept dying to the silly amount of cleaves mobs had in those)

    On my 1st garrosh kill we only had 1 ranged, so we used my SEF to help kill the desecrated weapons.

    So did we and my Spirits never died. Its wierd! Would be nice to know if Blizzard actually changed something from mop going into wod when it comes to SEF (other than the GCD Thing)

    I think there is actually an issue with the pet aoe damage reduction mechanic. Other classes are having things like totems get wrecked by aoe too.
